With the establishment of the BMX AIR team and its start as the first German BMX trade team in January 2011 BMX racing in Germany receives a professional platform and new sporty impulses. It has been confirmed by the directors that the financing for the 2011 season is secured. BMX racing is since the summer games in Peking 2008 an Olympic discipline. This has given the sport increased meaning for the youth world-wide. Also in Germany, BMX inspires racing and has a good inlet for young riders. New associations and numerous new tracks are being built.
