The competition schedule for the inaugural X Games Minneapolis at U.S. Bank Stadium is now available at XGames.com. More than 200 elite athletes will compete at the world’s premier action sports event July 13-16, 2017, with live coverage on ESPN and ABC and streaming live on WatchESPN and the ESPN app. Additional X Games Minneapolis content will also be available across ESPN digital platforms, including XGames.com, the X Games app, and X Games pages across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and more. The world’s best will battle it out for a podium spot in Skateboard, BMX, Moto and more.
The world’s top BMX athletes have been invited to the Road to X: Boise Qualifier, taking place June 10 at Rhodes Skate Park. The event serves as an official qualifying event for the X Games Minneapolis Park competitions. Twenty athletes will be invited to compete in each of the three disciplines – Men’s Skateboard Park, Women’s Skateboard Park and BMX Park. The top six Men’s Skateboard and BMX athletes and the top four Women’s Skateboard athletes not already invited will qualify into the X Games Minneapolis Park competition.
Ryan Nyquist (Santa Cruz, California) – A 16-time X Games medalist, Nyquist is the second most-decorated BMX athlete in X Games history. Nyquist has two Park gold medals and two Dirt gold medals, with his most recent podium being silver medal at X Games Barcelona 2013.
The world’s premier action sports competition debuts July 13-16 for its first year at the new U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis. The event will feature an all-encompassing youth culture experience, including more than 200 of the world’s best action sports athletes competing for medals and prize money in BMX, Skateboard and Moto X disciplines. In addition to the sports, the X Games interactive youth cultural festival, X Fest, and world-class musical performances from A Day To Remember on Friday, July 14, Flume on Saturday, July 15 and Minneapolis’ own Atmosphere will also be part of the event. All three musical performances will take place at the Commons stage, located outside U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Real Series returns to the World of X Games content lineup on XGames.com and ABC, beginning with the Real Ski video competition dropping on XGames.com February 15, 2017. A forum for the world’s best riders and filmers to create premium video content, the Real Series brings together the worlds of competitive action sports and core video parts. Originally launching with the Real Street competition in the summer of 2010, the Real Series has now grown to include six video competitions each year – adding Snowboard, Ski, BMX, Moto and Wakeboard disciplines into the lineup – due its popularity within the action sports community.
