We kicked off the 2017 BMX series with rounds 1 and 2 in Phoenix this weekend. Day 1 held some great racing but day 2 was a mud race! Check out some race footage as well as the aftermath and how bad the bikes were!
I recently got a hook-up from Stereo Bikes. I've been riding and testing the bike out for the last couple months (mostly indoors due to weather). The bike is working out great.. strong, good quality and it fits me perfectly. I managed to make an edit from our local indoor skate park.
Jabe and I drove down to Tampa for the day. It's about 2 hours away from Orlando where we live. Rode some badass spots and the rode the rooster den that night. Thanks to Matt Coplon and Alan Shirly for the hospitality.
The progression continues in Glendale, Arizona, as the best dirt riders in the world hit the Toyota BMX Triple Challenge just before the gate drops at the Monster Energy Supercross series. With the points race in full swing, Monster's own Kyle Baldock came out swinging, but it was the relative unknown, Brian Fox, who was able to put it together in his final run and take the win. The third and final stop of the Triple Challenge will go down in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 25th and we'll be crowning a champion. See you there!
Garrett Byrnes is one of those guys who we have long considered to be a true BMX legend and someone whose inspiration continues to operate at a different level than what is perceived as the norm. In fact, riders like Garrett and his ilk are the motivational backbone of our near 25 year existence as a BMX media outlet. This film is simply our way of showing respect for that inspiration and continued motivation. -DIG
