Al Dimino wanted to inform everyone that Hackettstown park has been saved by skate 57. The folks at skate 57 out of Philly have taken over the park. The new management is awesome and they have already added some new ramps and will continue to revamp sections of the park, props to them for keeping the park a float as we all need a great place to ride and have fun. The new owners have asked me to have a bmxinvasion event to kick things off. I will be hosting the "bike to school" contest on August 27th, 2005 a Saturday all day event. I recently tweaked my ankle so I'm down for a few weeks recovering and figured this would be a good time to shout out to all of you for a request to supply some products for this event rather than make it a last minute request. The new owner Brandon is a cool dude and is down with bmx. I really appreciate it that he has taken over the park along with a few friends in order to keep it available for riders to enjoy. The a/c is working again! I am looking forward to see you there.
We would like to invite yo to the 3rd annual OG Summer Gypsy Games Flatland Contest and Camp. The event is perfect for everyone who prefers events with really relaxed atmosphere and friendly vibe. The location is situated in the Transdanubia, just above the lake Balaton. From the Austrian border you only have to drive around 100km to reach the city. We chose this city just because all the circumstances are perfect for a relaxed comp and camp: everything is really close, cheap, and quiet, it has great pubs and nice environment. The courts are located in a school, it looks like a small kind of park.
Location: the city of Ajka, Hungary /cca. 150km from Budapest to the west/, Vorosmarty iskola /secondary school
Date: Camp 1-5 August, Contest 6-7 August
Classes: Expert, Master and Pro

Cologne, June 29, 2005. Around 300 international top riders from more than 21 nations as well as 12,000 spectators joined a relaxed and all around successful event under blistering heat in the Cologne youthpark from June 23 to 26.
One of the absolute highlights was the final in the category Miniramp Pro, which was held on the Braun Spine. Ryan Nyquist (USA) won in supreme style with huge “360 variations over the spine. Mark Webb from England followed with a sensational run full of technical combinations to take second place. Dave Osato from Canada got 3rd with amazing front wheel tricks and a huge double tailwhip to tailtap.
Paul Roberts is the voice of BMX. His passion has brought him where he is today. And he's everywhere. Paul knows BMX, Paul is BMX and having an MC at the contests that is that into it is a good thing to have. MC-ing is a tough job. It usually means you have no voice left at the end of the weekend. You need to make the crowd get into it. You can try that by acting like a "koekwaus" but Paul doesn't need to put bunny ears on his head and change closes three times a day to entertain the crowd. It's the voice that matters and when Grotbags is on the mic when you arrive at a contest, consider yourself lucky because he's the man for the job.How many everts do you do a year and which ones?
Paul Roberts: I try to do all the ones that I didn't get fired from last year. I really do whatever I'm asked. I always do Ian Morris' contests, Jay Miron's Metro jams and last year somebody was foolish enough to let me do the big American comps suchs as the X-Games, the Gravity Games, Triple Crowns, it was nice. It means that I don't really need to get a real job.

Cream BMX #12
Entreprise Mexicos put together one big issue with 132 pages. The pages are slightly bigger which makes the photos (of Manu Sanz) look even better. Jay Miron mentioned that he thinks Cream is the best BMX magazine out there at the moment and when Jay says something like that, it means something. He wouldn't say that about anything that is rubbish.
Cream is (in) French but it has some English text in it. The UK text in issue 12 contains the Editorial, Jim Bauer interview, Hollywood flatland jam, Ravage weekend, Dossier Le Sponsoring, Justin Miller interview, trail people jam, Metro jam, Olaf Pignataro photo section/interview, the Circle Jam, 430 Ninja House report, Joe Kid on a Stingray video
The best 2 Euros you ever spent on a BMX magazine!
Issue 11 has one picture that stands out. It makes you laugh, again and again. You look back at it and you will start shaking your head. It's better therapy than seeing a shrink. If you are feeling down, turn to page 58/59 and your day brightens up again. The picture almost made the cover of Zwanzig 11 and it actually should have because more people would have randomly seen it and made them smile. I hope you are getting curious what this photo is all about. Order your copy today. Ask for issue 11 and make sure page 58/59 have not been ripped out of the magazine yet.
