At the moment I'm in a weird situation. I have a copy of the etnies Grounded DVD in my possession and I visited the pre-etnies Grounded premiere jam at the Marnix bowl in Amsterdam but did not stay for the first showing at the Kriterion. I could have beat everyone there by popping the DVD in the player at home and watch it but I did not. Tomorrow we will have the premiere for the Grounded movie in OJA and I am holding off until that moment when everyone is there and the big screen is ready. It's tough though as my fingers are itching....
Due to the late arrival I missed most of the session at the Marnix bowl in Amsterdam. Riders were still around but were either limping, done riding, or already started drinking to get ready for the Grounded premiere at 10pm. Still, good old Bjorn Eulink busted a killer fastplant on request and the local shredders weren't done doing all kind of foot jam variations. I've been promised pics of Mark Vos' fufanu on top of the Red Bull wall and Barry Kohne's flair, two highlights that I missed.
Today we visited the grand opening of the new vert ramp at the Fazantenkamp in Maarssenbroek, Holland. After years of driving the local council crazy, the riders and skaters in town received a new vert ramp. It's four sheets wide, made out of metal and on the day of the grand opening, the builders had to set up the amount of vert on each side to make it rideable. After a 5 minute speech, 5 minutes of trying to break the bottle (vessel style), a 5 minute demo

"Grounded" has become a popular word among BMX-ers in the last few weeks. Have you seen it? Not a lot of people can answer that with a Yes but there's help on the way for the Dutch riders. This Saturday the etnies BMX movie will be shown in Amsterdam (10pm Kriterion ) and on Sunday at OJA in Aarle-Rixtel (8pm).

Lenneke @ Rockitpromotions found our adress again and sent us this CD: I'm "Down" with these "Kids", this album is one of the best I heard this year. I'm not the only one that likes it very much, on our way to France it was a welcome break from the Johnny Cash songs and no complaints by any in the Van when the CD was on repeat for a couple of times.
Songs like: 110%, Red Lights, Luck comes Easy are so good that you think you heard it 100 times before and "A Kid Called Down" must be in some BMX dvd cause it sounds very familiar. We will hear a lot from "Kid Down" in the future, at least I hope we do.
