We said it before and we'll say it again, Matt Bischoff is one stoked dude. RedBull came in with a couple of work crews and a bunch of top riders and changed his backyard into a dream. Although a bit chilly, the RedBull Build-Off went very well. With respected BMX ramp building teams consisting of: Team 1: Aaron Bostrom, Burly Matt Gibeaut, and Ty Stuyvesant, Team 2: Ryan Corrigan, Ron Kimler and Chris Hallman and Team 3 consisting of Craig Billingsley, Mike Ryan, and Glen Johns getting to work with a bunch of plywood, saws and nail guns, Matt's backyard changed real quick in three days time.

After working with peta2—PETA’s youth division—to help promote the riding extravaganza Flatcrap and to shoot a pro-vegetarian public service announcement, BMX pro Aaron Behnke decided he’d like to do a little more to fight animal abuse.
Aaron and his sponsors, Etnies and UGP, have joined with peta2 to create an awesome online contest giveaway. One lucky winner will receive a T-shirt, beanie, pair of socks, and stickers from UGP plus a hot pair of PETA pal Taj Mihelich signature shoes. Second-and third-place winners will take home a T-shirt, pair of socks, and stickers. Fifty runners-up will each receive a poster of Aaron’s PSA. All that contestants have to do is go to peta2.com and register to win.
Does Aaron feel he’s sacrificing anything in order not to eat or wear any animal products? Hardly:
Now Psykopath is a neighbor of the track. We got a house right next to the track. Its going to be used as the Psykopath Headquaters. There is going to be ramps in the backyard for the street riders. Here comes all the BBQ's and ramp sessions, no work's gonna get done around there.
Psykopath went to Interbike in Vegas last month. We made contact with about a million companies for possible co-sponsorships and what not. We also made it to the Mt. Dew Action Sports Contest in San Jose, Ca. A couple of our racers competed on the technical course. We got footage of the event also. We also made it out to the Roseville State Championship on Sept 24-25. We had our own little booth showin off our new product. Street rider Omar (Endo) Romero got 1st in his class, Congrats. Other Psykopath Racers competed in the ProAm race and went home with a little cash in their pockets.
Everybody was stoked to hear that adidas is setting up another Berlin City Games after a great success last year. Especially me as a huge Berlin fan.
Once again Jens Werner and his crew and Matti Röse made things possible and gave their best so riders really feel comfy.
The location was a different one than last time but not less unusual. An old post train station with real industrial design was the place to be on that Satuday evening. Everything was planned for one day - incl. a great party with the Grime Time straight from London UK. I guess I wasn't the only one who had to get used to the music...
Saturday 17th September heralded the official opening of the groundbreaking new GBH Ramps skatepark in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, England. The revolutionary flagship skatepark is the proud owner of the world’s first massive bowled mini ramp, with 6m wide spine and volcano sections fashioned completely out of steel. Christened ‘The Playboy’ this monster structure gives props to the engineering and craftsmanship of the GBH design & installation crew, who have created an immense, seam free curved bowl structure, so smooth it’s obscene. All this has been made possible by the company’s massive investment into new engineering technology and the future of Skate and BMX.

There is only a little over a week to go till the EBYJ hits Brighton. Expert Street is Sold Out, Pro is getting close, and spectator tickets are going quick.
In its 12th year the Etnies Backyard Jam is coming back bigger and better. As the leading core event in the UK the riders list grows year on year and in 2005 it reads like the BMX hall of fame. Riders from teams like Etnies, Federal and Hoffman bikes include Jamie Bestwick (UK, twice X-Games Gold Medalist), Corey Martinez (US), Joe Rich (US), Morgan Wade (US, Street World Champion), Bas Keep (UK) and Sergio Layos (Spain, EBYJ winner 2003) to mention but a few. With such a line up and the relaxed atmosphere the EBYJ is famous for, the riders will push themselves, get technical and stretch boundaries to perform the sickest tricks in the race for the record $40,000 total prize money
If that was not enough, the Etnies Highest Air and the Snickers Best Trick contests on Saturday and Sunday respectively will definitely hype the crowd to frenzy and the excitement through the roof. Friday afternoon will also see a world record attempt as Snickers presents UK’s first Highest Bunny Hop contest.
Issue 0048 of DIG might be the last issue published by DIG Magazine ltd. You see, DIGBMX has teamed up with 4130.com as a publisher to perceive bigger and better things. Same style of mag, different printer.
#48 is another big one with with 141 pages. It's got the usuals but a whole lot of unusuals too. The editorial staff gets one full page of space, or were they expecting another ad to come in? The beginning of the mag has all these short articles which are great to read. Ballbag, Staff Infection, Studio 153, tight set-up, Reader photos, Kink Deconstruction Derby (congrats on the podium Brian!), reviews, events, quick Jamie Bestwick interview, a thing on cellphone Thorne, CFB comp, Verthaus jam and then straight into the Flat Earth Society. By this time you actually spent some time on the shitter.
