The 4th edition of Burning Ink officially kicked off in London last night as a crowd descended on Cheshire Street to see what this unique art show, at Beach Gallery, had to offer. With a collection of hand drawn prints from world-renowned street artists, graphic designers and illustrators, Burning Ink caught intrigued eyes and a taker already... Five pairs of a limited edition Burning Ink shoe are to be sold in the UK with all money from sales going directly to ART AGAINST KNIVES and the campaign to reduce knife crime through youth-led, arts initiatives. To celebrate the London edition of Burning Ink Art Show, at Beach Gallery from March 13th - 31st, DC Shoes has launched a limited edition shoe for the Holiday 2012 collection. Only five pairs of the Burning Ink shoe, customized by Jekill, will be on sale in the UK, and the money raised through sales will go directly to ART AGAINST KNIVES, a charity working to reduce the root causes of knife crime by providing alternative creative opportunities for young people in London. Full proceeds from the sale of these will fund a series of graffiti workshops, hosted by creative professionals to support young people across East London.
The limited edition shoes will be exclusively sold at DC Shoes Boxpark, with a special display at the ART AGAINST KNIVES gallery Boxpark. Keep checking on my.dclife.com to see when
A few months ago over in Moscow I met BMX photographer Artem Chernousov. We hit it off right away and hung out all night. I asked Artem to send me some of his pics for a portfolio type of thingy on the site. He did, but I've been too busy to get something up.
