We just ran a flatland contest, which was very nice, the level was amazing. The winner was Leo Claro, who got second at the Brasil X Games in 2002. He rode perfect he took a session pegless, almost impossible to believe. Second was Bruno Zebu with a new style of tricks, very very flow, the third was Gilson de Souza, almost integrated his body with the bike, so the contest was a kind of selection for the contest we're gonna run in February, during the carnival, we got 30 riders among the place and 20 participated.

We got here in Brazil a flatlander called Sergio Ricardo Balu who is a wonderful rider, with the most updated tricks although he got only the sixth place, and Lisias who won the last flatland contest got the seventh. The 3 Judges were Hiroshi he just came from Japan, the master rider Claylson Claybon and the head judge Andre Ramon who knows everything about flatland.

Riding was all done in a place called Richards Bay, South Africa and was done by Rico Rebeiro, Buddy Chellan, AT, Colin Loudon, Stuart Loudon and Greg Illingworth.

Simpel Session, Europe's biggest winter BMX and skate event ended on Sunday evening. This year's skate street was won by 14-year-old Axel Cruysberghs, who is the youngest winner in Simpel Session's history. BMX street was won by last year's winner Garrett Reynolds.

Second year in a row Garrett Reynolds rocked at BMX-street. "I got lucky, I didn't know all my tricks would succeed," said Reynolds. He also added that he loved the competition, the skate park and audience and promised to be back next year. "As long as I'm not dead, I'll be here," he added laughing.

Everybody who did not make it to Tallinn this year had the possibility to take part in the competition by watching it online. Mpora.tv streamed a high-quality Live Webcast from Simpel Session and more than 148 thousand people watched it online worldwide.  

The 2009 Simpel Session was a good one. The riders that turned up made a good show, the crowd was on fire and the City of Tallinn parties all night long. The 09 course had loads of flatbanks and rails which gave the riders something to work with, at least if you were into these type of obstacles. We have collected some photos of the finalists and will use the captions to explain more. You probably saw everything on the net already but if you missed that,

In the end 81 riders entered the competition in Tallinn. Last minute drop outs were Edwin Delarosa (fell alseep in the hotel), Mike Miller (hurt) and Nigel Sylvester (missed his flight). The riders who did make it on the list all had a reason to be riding the Simpel Session. Only 20 riders moved on to the finals and we've got some photos right here of riders who did not make it into that elite group. Lots of killer riders did not makethe finlas but a lot of good riders did. Check it live.

Right after practice at the Simpel Session Vans called their riders and some friends for a little get together in the Hell Hunt which is located in Tallin's beautiful Old Town. After a few of the local Saku's things started to take off. The gathering was used to catch up with everyone and some couldn't help but take it on the business side and actually discussed the shoes! Coach was representing the "Westside" and it didn't take long before he had a following. Some more sign language lessons need to follow though because not everyone had that down yet. Or maybe it was the Saku beer that didn't 

Simpel Session’s first day in Tallinn, Estonia is over. We are happy to annouce you the BMX-riders who will ride at tomorrow’s finals. The best BMX-rider today was last year’s Simpel Session winner Garrett Reynolds, but in addition to him Rob Darden, Mark Webb, Dennis Enarson and Gary Young also made it to the top 5. Ben Hennon, Maxime Charveron, Bruno Hoffman, Andres Lainevool, Morgan Wade, Sergio Layos, Kiattichai Wanitsakun, Ty Morrow, Paul Ryan, Björn Mager, Michael Beran, Stefan Lantschner, Brian Kachinsky, Tony Malouf and Isaac Lesser are also riding at the finals tomorrow evening at Simpel Session.

BMX-finals start tomorrow at 5.30pm at Saku Suurhall. Red Bull BMX Best Trick competiton takes place before the finals at 5pm. Contest Schedule on Sunday, January 18:

It’s been a few days since I have had internet access but finally got my mobile broadband to work now, stoked. The trip has been amazing so far. Day 4 - Monday we rode Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast which was an awesome session. We all got sunburnt but some good riding went down & clips were clocked. Zac Miner wrecked his ankle & had to take a few days off.

Later that night we arrived at Ventoux Cycles in Coffs Harbour for a in store appearance & it was massive. We were 4 hours late yet that didn’t faze the 200 or so kids waiting for us. It was a great time for sure. Many thanks to Al & the boys at Ventoux for putting on the BBQ & beers.
