The 2010 BMX Masters in Cologne have come to an end. It was my first time at the event, and after the insane weekend, I was so glad I could be here, and so mad that I couldn’t take part in the riding. This year the Masters made their contest hard to compete with. The first ever Mega-Mini Super Ramp event was amazing. Guys made BMX history on it. The enormous dirt jumps under the bridge brought out the best and scariest in riders. And the Park Final to finish it all off was way sicker than expected.
On Saturday, the first final of the weekend was on the Super Ramp. They definitely need to do some more Super Ramp events because it was CRAZY! Brett Banasiewicz did a flair whip, flip to fakie, and rode really high and smooth with lots of tricks. Ondra Slez became the third person in history to land a front flip flair, and the first to do it chain-less. He transferred from the quarter to the vert wall and pulled it second try.
