Bad luck in Barcelona, what happened?
Bommel: I felt a bit dizzy because of the heat and the alcohol the previous night. I didn't really want to ride. But after watching the first two heats I got into it and said to myself, fuck it, let's go. I started off slowly but it kicked off well. The moment when I rolled onto the spine I thought to myself, do a 3-double whip, that trick always works out. Now I got to say, I should have ridden a bit faster. For some reason the trick didn't feel right from the beginning and I ejected. My bike caught some air on that spine and I was afraid it would hit me. As I kept looking at the bike I didn't notice the ground was getting nearer. In the end I saw how I broke my leg and landed on the floor with all my weight.
