BMX Flatland is back at the Sosh freestyle cup! Last year the "Matthias Dandois Invitational" was a real success so we decided to open it up to everyone (pro class) riders in 2016! Same concept: the best BMX Flatland riders in the world riding on the beach of Marseille! 7000€ prize money.

NASS Festival & the International BMX Freestyle Federation (IBMXFF) have announced that Flatland BMX will be added to the competition line-up at the 2016 IBMXFF World Championships. With the IBMXFF World Championships returning to UK soil for the first time in 28 years, organisers have worked tirelessly to ensure the foundation of BMX freestyle, flatland, was represented alongside pro park, vert and dirt. The event will be held at NASS, the action sport and music festival on the 8th – 10th July, near Bristol.

A brand new specially commissioned outdoor stage will be constructed to offer the smooth, flat terrain required for the spins, balance and flow used to manipulate the bikes and perform

Between the 8th and 10th of July Malta BMX will be hosting BMX Fest - Summer Edition, an International Park and Trails jam celebrating 30 years of BMX in Malta. Throughout the weekend a number of competition will take place, where each day will be closed with a closing party. The Jam will take place on Sunday together with other activities such as a burning man, live music, Motorcycling and a Mini Copper display show. It's been an intense day of competing in Tallinn, Estonia, as the 16th edition of the Simple Session series filled the Saku Arena with the best BMX-riders and skateboarders from across the world. In BMX, Simple Session 2013 winner Kevin Peraza MEX took his second win, Nick Bruce USA came 2nd and last year's silver Mike Varga finished 3rd. Mongoose Bikes, a brand of Dorel Industries, Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A) today announced it will expand Mongoose Jam across the pond. Following years of successful contests at Camp Woodward and Woodward West in the United States and another taking place this summer in the United States, the brand will host its first ever Mongoose Jam UK. Mongoose Jam UK will mimic the contest formats. On July 2nd and 3rd, twenty-four pros and six amateurs will compete over a two-day period. Athletes will show off their unique styles and test

Mongoose Bikes, a brand of Dorel Industries, Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII.A) announced today an all-new format for the fifth annual Mongoose Jam. Rather than a live, three discipline event, five teams captained by Mongoose BMX pros will compete in a video edit contest featuring Street, Dirt, and Park riding. Each team will have five days during Woodward West’s ninth week of camp to create the best video edit.

From July 31st through August 5th fifteen pros, five amateurs, and five videographers will shoot and produce five team edits. The teams’ video edits will be screened for all Week Nine campers at Woodward West’s theater on Friday, August 5th and judged by BMX industry veterans. Winning edits will be selected based on originality and style, the variety and difficulty of tricks used and the video production quality.
