These sequences will be timed to finish at the same moment, when the riders appear from different sides of the park to begin a choreographed performance of BMX skills. The filmed vision will switch to live action from the riders bike mounted cameras, and the audience experiences the performance in first and third person perspective.
The Bikefest BMX Jam will take place at the Riverslide Skate Park, the home of Melbourne’s BMX community.

A BMX jam featuring some of Melbourne’s most skilled BMX riders, directed by two of Melbourne’s most renowned choreographers Antony Hamilton and Byron Perry. The project presents a concentrated slice of the life of the most flamboyant and irreverent sub-culture of bike enthusiasts, the BMX rider. The first half of the show features simultaneously projected filmed sequences, tracking the journey of riders as they travel from different locations to Riverslide Skate Park.
