The photo on the right is one of my all-time favorites featuring Hucker sessioning the box at a demo in the parking lot of a strip club in Colorado with a few friends. If you are any kind of fan of BMX you have more than likely heard the news about the DC BMX program getting dropped today. It came as a surprise to many people and I am sure caught the riders completely off guard. They were all at a point where they had been working on there 2013 contracts and making them official. Well, obviously that didn’t work out and here we are…

Haro Bicycles is proud to announce the signing of Tucson, Arizona’s Corben Sharrah to the BMX race team. “Corben is one of the youngest, most accomplished, stylish, humble, and driven riders in the sport. A former USA Cycling National Champion in the Elite class, Corben had already won a UCI World Cup abroad when he was only 18. I fully believe that Corben, now 20 years old, is untapped talent. Though he’s accomplished so much at such a young age, I think the BMX world has yet to see his full potential. We’re really psyched to team up with him for 2013 and beyond.” said Derek Betcher, Haro’s BMX Race Team Manager.

Corben will join team mates Nic Long (San Diego, CA) and Brooke Crain (Visalia, CA) on the full USA BMX tour in 2013, along with select UCI World Cup events.

XYIENCE Xenergy, the official energy drink of the UFC ®, announces that it has renewed its contracts with its professional athlete brand ambassadors including UFC fighters Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy, Matt “The Terror” Serra, and Krzysztof “The Polish Experiment” Soszynski. Legendary BMX rider Mike Escamilla and spokesmodel Amanda Corey have also signed on for another year. Hardy will represent the brand’s sugar-free, zero calorie beverage products including Xenergy Energy and Xenergy + Hydration, Tea and Lemonade. The other ambassadors will represent XYIENCE’s beverage and supplement product lines. All contracts run through December 31, 2013.

The ambassadors will make appearances on behalf of the brand at consumer events as well as at beverage and nutrition trade events. They will also participate in special XYIENCE consumer-oriented promotions and video projects.

I have ridden for Stolen Bike Co for three years, I've been on some awesome trips with the team around the US, UK, The Channel Islands and Tenerife, I've made some awesome friends through riding for Stolen. Over the past couple of month's i've found myself disagreeing with a few matters and drifting away from the brand. Now is the time to walk away and see what's round the corner.
