The final video release for Professional Freestyle BMX rider Dane Searls sees him successfully ride the biggest dirt jumps in history, clearing distances up to 60 feet (18 metres) on a BMX. The NBC Sports Group, and its action sports armAlli, and Red Bull Media House announced today a long-term partnership for the development of a new property, the Red BullSignature Series.  The strategic endeavor will bring 35 hours of jaw-dropping andone-of-a-kind action sports programming to NBC and the NBC Sports Network startingin January 2012. The Red Bull Signature Series will include the most progressive and innovative snowboarding, mountain biking, freestylemotocross, ice cross downhill, skiing and BMX events, showcased on custom coursesfrom the inspiration of the athletes themselves.  The series features some of RedBull’s top events including X-Fighters, Supernatural, Crashed Ice, Dream Line, Rampage and Cold Rush and other third party action sports competitions (see belowfor details on shows).  The Red Bull SignatureSeries kicks off on NBC with Crashed Ice onSaturday, January 21.

Nigel Sylvester handed over some animal gear that we could give away to one lucky winner here on FATBMX. We took some shots (pun intended) and kicked off the online competition. Grounded BMX over in Belgium are supporting a charity project called Music 4 Life. It's a huge charity hosted by Belgium's biggest radio station. This year they are raising money to help out kids in Nepal. As crazy as it sounds thousands of children are dying there each year from diarrhea while that is so easy to cure with basic and cheap medicine.
