The UK’s biggest celebration of music, street art, skate and BMX, NASS festival is returning to the Bath & West Showground, near Bristol on Thursday 11 – Sunday 14 July 2019 for their biggest year yet, featuring headliners Giggs, Rudimental and Cypress Hill. NASS brings together the world’s best BMX riders to compete in the biggest and most progressive contests in the country. With under two weeks to go NASS has revealed the full list of competing riders for 2019, as well as competition and jam timings. Riders from around the globe will be competing for a combined prize purse of £25,000. This year sees a number of Tokyo 2020 Olympic hopefuls competing including Alex Coleborn, James Jones, Declan Brooks, and Jack Clark who are all on the Great Britain Cycling Team’s world class BMX programme.

Champion Mark Webb (GBR). The BMX Street Invitational will see 2018 X Games Gold Medalist Alex Donnachie (GBR), Courage Adams (NGR), Bruno Hoffmann (GER), Dan Lacey (GBR) compete for the title.
The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has the pleasure of announcing that the inaugural UCI BMX Freestyle Flatland World Championships will be held as part of the next UCI Urban Cycling World Championships, which will take place on 6-10 November 2019 in Chengdu, in China. The 2019 UCI Urban Cycling World Championships will thus feature BMX Freestyle Flatland, BMX Freestyle Park and Trials, three urban and dynamic disciplines.

Returning to the City of Trees and the legendary Rhodes Skate Park for the third edition of the Road to X Games: Boise Qualifier, the world’s top skateboard and BMX athletes competed to secure their invitations to Minneapolis. More than 10,000 fans witnessed six Men’s Skateboard and BMX athletes and five Women’s Skateboarders qualify for X Games Minneapolis through a new jam session format. The BMX, Men’s and Women’s Park competitions each began with a 21-athlete qualifier, where each athlete completed as many 40-second runs as possible within the 18-minute jam session. After the initial qualifier, 12 athletes moved onto Saturday’s elimination and again competed in 18-minute jam sessions. Three riders from each heat advanced to the final and also qualified for X Games. Those riders then competed in one final heat to determine final ranking.
From the 19th to 21st of July 2019, Châteauroux will host the FISE European Series, a brand new multi-disciplinary series bringing action sports and adrenaline to cities around Europe.

Jubilee, 20th edition of the Pannonian Challenge is slowly coming to an end, but before the big final day, which will truly bring the best of the world's top BMX on Sunday, the selection through the difficult qualifications must be made. From the very morning, the Osijek skate park will flood drivers on small bikes, warming up for the biggest extreme sports competition in this part of Europe. Amateurs will show their skills at 10 am, while long-awaited qualifications in BMX Elite / Pro are expected at 1.30 pm. Since this season's competition has been packed with a number of high- quality riders and regional BMX riders, the same day, in the afternoon, semifinals will be held at 6 pm, where all visitors will see only a fraction of what they expect in the big Sunday finale.
It should be noted that the 20th Pannonian Challenge follows the pulse of Osijek town, which this weekend lives sporty, so all visitors beside the skate park on the left bank of the Drava river can also look at the qualification match of the Croatian national football team against Walesa for EURO 2020.
Today, Woodward PA and West revealed the 2019 VIPs for this year’s summer BMX camp. The world-class destination for both aspiring youth and professional athletes kicked off summer camp this week with pro BMX riders Angie Marino, Matty Cranmer, Kiernan Reilly, Tom Boggard, Charlotte Worthington and many more. Angie Marino dropped by Woodward West to shred and give campers an inside look at what to expect from this year’s summer camp at Woodward PA and West. Check it out here.

USA Cycling announced today the six athletes who will represent the U.S. at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru for BMX Freestyle and BMX Racing. Among the athletes is current BMX Freestyle World Champion Justin Dowell (Virginia Beach, Va.) and 2017 BMX Freestyle World Champion Hannah Roberts (Buchanan, Mich.). “Both Justin and Hannah have had incredible seasons so far this year including winning last week’s World Cup in Montpelier and we want to ensure our athletes are as prepared as possible for the Olympics in Tokyo,” said Scott Schnitzspahn, Vice President of Elite Athletics for USA Cycling, “With BMX Freestyle making its debut in the Games, we are excited to provide them with the opportunity to gain experience competing in a multi-sport event prior to the Olympics.”
Monster Energy’s BMX athletes dominate at FISE in Montpellier, France. Monster Army’s Justin Dowell had an incredible weekend at FISE with a win in the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup, and third place in the Spine Ramp the night before. Rounding out the podium spots are Jose Torres who earned the top spot in Spine Ramp, and Pat Casey with first place in Dirt finals. Teammates Moto Sasaki took third place in UCI BMX Flatland World Cup, and Leandro Moreira took second in Dirt. After qualifying in 10th after the Park Semi Finals, Dowell was one of the first people to ride in the Finals and he set the bar with a score of 91.20. Afterward he anxiously watched as the rest of the heats went down.
The June programming on World of X Games focuses on complementing contest coverage with unique stories from the world of action sports, including a look back at the Best of BMX, Moto X and Skateboarding competitions at the inaugural X Games Shanghai. Fans of Moto X will follow along with accomplished Moto X rider Jackson Strong as he prepares for X Games Minneapolis. Additionally, viewers will get up close and personal with drivers at the Score San Felipe 250 and The 2019 Mint 400, as well as some of the best surfers in the world on FREESURFER.
