The ScreenSport Professional BMX Championship took place in 1985 and featured the UK's top pro riders like Andy Ruffell, Tim March, Geth Shooter, Tony Slater, Jamie Vince, Mark 'Sid' Salsbury, Mark White and Alan Woods. Two USA riders also joined the series World Champion Anthony Sewell RIP and Nelson Channady NBA Champ. It was broadcast all over Europe and took UK Pro racing to a new level.

BMX The Video was released by Thorn EMI in 1983 and starred Andy Ruffell. The video sold over 1m copies around the world and was filmed in Johannesburg South Africa. The video was shot on 35mm and features some great old school racing and freestyle footage and some great music. When Andy Ruffell toured South Africa to promote the video launch, over 100,000 people turned out over 25 shows in Joburg, Durban, and Cape Town.
