Pacific Palisades Elementary School held their annual EcoFest (2007) to much acclaim at which Xtreme athletes, Jesse Puente, the Cycling Flatland World Champion, and Mike Saavedra, THE top-rated Pro BMX and trails rider of today performed with an enviro-friendly message. EcoFest is an event in which kids and parents are encouraged to get to school via "alternative" vehicles (bikes, skateboards, etc.) and then participate in fun, educational, interactive eco activities throughout the day.
PPES's "Green Team" has won the school recognition as the greenest school in all of LAUSD. The event was sponsored by health lifestyle brands Alacer (makers of Emergen-C) an ASEC.
Alacer, a 30-year vitamin company, and category leader among vitamin sellers, has in common with the PPES Green Team, and ASEC, a commitment to a fit, energetic, healthy lifestyle. Alacer's Emergen-C Street Team in part sponsored EcoFest 2007 to "share the good" with Palisades kids and their families.

At Redline headquarters, we have a wall solely dedicated to framed stars ‘n striped jersies; right next to the rainbow striped jersies of our BMX World Champions. Y’see; in every cycling discipline (whether it is mountain bike, road bike, velodrome or cyclo-cross), USA Cycling holds a “U.S. Championships.” Much like all European and Australian associations do, it’s a one-shot, one-day-only National No.1 title. And in all of those forms of cycling, winning and wearing the stars ‘n stripes of a U.S. National Champion is the ultimate. It’s like being crowned ABA National No.1 (only without the 10 wins and 11 months of consistency).
For the past decade, Redline riders have won their share of the red, white and blue jerseys – in the mud ‘n crud sport of cyclo-cross. In fact, Logan Owen – our young BMX star–turned-Cyclocross racer, has already won two Stars ‘n Stripes. Other BMXers who know the prestige of the patriotic jersey are Brian Lopes, Eric Carter, Mike King and Jill Kitner. They have all fought hard for, and won this jersey, in the suspension-realm of mountain bikes. To Carter and King, who are both No.1 title holders in the ABA, donning the stars ‘n stripes is probably as meaningful as holding an ABA No.1 Silver Cup above their head in Oklahoma.
Dynacraft BSC, Inc., the U.S. bicycle distributor, entered into an exclusive licensing partnership with skateboarding legend and action sports pioneer, Tony Hawk. Under terms of this agreement, Dynacraft will develop several new lines of bicycles under the "Tony Hawk" brand. The line will debut at this year's Interbike show in Las Vegas at the end of September and be available in retail stores beginning Spring 2008.
The deal was brokered by IP Chemistry, a division of the Dimensional Branding Group. Dynacraft is planning two different series of "Tony Hawk" products designed for its many clients. "The Tony Hawk HuckJam Series" will be created for Dynacraft's mass merchandise customers. "The Tony Hawk Signature Series", being developed by Dynacraft's recently launched Specialty Retail Group, is for sporting goods chains and other specialty retail customers.

I started keeping a daily journal way back in 1987 when I was only 15 years old. I started back when I was a freshman in high school. Since then, every single freakin’ day of my life has been documented in these journals. If it happened, it’s in there. And believe me; I’ve got some stories to tell. Looking back over the years, here is a journal entry that stands out and also my comments looking back now. Sponsored by Haro? November 4th, 1993 Actual Journal Entry: “I borrowed Cara’s car & drove to Airwalk in San Diego. I met up with BMX Team Manager, Kim Boyle & got some shoes & went to lunch with him.
The Southern Hemisphere is facing winter at the moment. Winter sucks. But 2020 magazine tries to help you get through it. The Australian BMX magazine just came out with their June issue. June is usually the start of summer for us, but not for the Australians. You can imagine that the June issue is packed with events that took place over the '06/'07 Aussie summer. It has Colony's NZ tour, the Morrisey-Crisp trip to X-air, a report on the PMP trails (so dialled), the Red Baron Challenge, Zombie Hop, Rignwood openings, Jay's Jam, Tim Hales day, Kurri Kurri comp, Erindale drunk/ride fest, O'Town report, Colonizing China report by Clint, Metro Jam in SIngapore, Cooma Breakout and much more. The Australians seem to be into jams don't they? When Dave Dillewaard, Colin MacKay and Corey Bohan visited home over the winter (their summer), they did a trip to film for FuelTV. Senad Grosic (Austria) joined them. The Shitluck van made it to Australia.
