Ever since getting back into BMX racing 2 1/2 years ago I have always wanted to get the track in South Woodham Ferrers reopened. After talking to a couple of people I knew who rode or raced there we decided to give it a go. It seems we were just in time. After an initial talk with the council today it seems that the land the track is on is earmarked for a total re-development at the start of the New Year.
You have been racing BMX since an early age, did you ever think you would become a professional BMX rider? I started racing when I was almost 4 years old, to become a professional was always a dream for me, which became reality in the beginning of 2006
You are a member of the Dutch BMX team that is trying to score points to get as many tickets for the Olympics as possible. How many Elite men riders do you think Holland will be sending to the 2008 Games? We are in current 2nd place so I think we can send 3 male riders if we don’t do anything stupid... and we are hoping to send 1 woman.
You recently got nominated as an Olympic athlete. What advantages does this have?
Good things keep on popping up to help those riders who need it most. These exclusive Johnson number plates were made for the injured Stephen Murray, Tara Llanes and Shane Vincent. You will have a limited edition numberplate showing that you helped a good cause. The plates are available in sizes Mini / Expert and Pro. Different background colours available too. You can pay by PayPal (both USA and International).
