Congratulations on the signature frame. When did you hook up with KHE?
Bram: Thanx! about a year ago I got in contact with Thomas of KHE, that's when it all started! About 3/4 months ago we started working on my RIP signature frame.. and it just arrived!
Did you always have your own ideas as far as products are concerned?
Bram: HELL YEAHH!! I'm a product freak hehe. Well.. I'm doing a technical education so that's where my interests are at. I'm also the kinda hardcore rider that fully goes for it and breaks the smallest part on the bike. So for me it's really important that the parts are well made! That's why I chose for KHE.. and I'm happy they also chose for me!
January 2006. Starting the year on a high, GBH Ramps has just completed works on two parks in Beddau and Gelligaled. Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council has been committed to providing exceptional skate facilities for the youth in their area and through a tender process selected GBH Engineering as the choice company to design and construct their two new skateparks.
The NBR crew sent us an invitation to come check out the Meker skatepark in Middelburg. On Saturday 14 January we (Wendy, Philip, Bart) headed to Zeeland for the jam and video premiere. After a short family stop at the beach (4 miles away) we entered the Meker. A couple of riders were already jamming in the transformed sports hall (now skatepark) and the i-Pod was taking care of the sounds. With our son Philip around, it was hard to tell how long we could stay for the jam so I opted to take a couple of pics right away.
Park managers Vladdie de Koning and Rolf Blenk were cruising around the park on their bikes. It helps when skatepark managers are BMX riders; bikes allowed. Thomas "Pop up" Ruissen was doing manual to barspins and manuals to crankflips and also did turndowns over the little jump box.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. This goes for the rumor we heard about Sheila Love (Coach's son). Okay, Sheila does like a beer or two (or 15 - HDT!) and is a proper English boy. He goes to the pub, messes with people and sometimes gets in a fight. The other night he picked the wrong guy. First he knocked the guy down and he was out in the middle of the street. He then pulled his pants down. Haha, all fun and games. Next thing you know the bloke wakes up, go gets a butcher knife and is searching for Sheila.

San Diego, CA –BMX World has announced Avent Cycles A Pro Darrell Dawes as their official Pro Test Rider. Darrell will be bringing a balanced Pro perspective to all the new products in the industry, at a level you want to compete in.
"We wanted a pro that would give us an honest opinion when doing our bike test. Darrell Dawes is not only a good rider on the BMX track, but can tear it up on the trails as well, so it was a no-brainer for us. Plus, the guy has style for days, he makes it look effortless. We feel his riding will translate great onto the pages of BMX World Magazine. So if you haven't heard of Darrell Dawes, get ready to, the guy can ride." – Greg Leasure.
Darrell is currently sitting 24th in the ABA Pro Circuit.

Intense World Team Member, Michael Robinson competed at Centenary Plains BMX Club in Australia for Round 3 of the UCI World Ranking Series on January 8th in Brisbane. Michael has only competed in one other round, so he is playing catch up in the points. Due to a huge thunderstorm the night before the race, the track was extremely soft and soggy, making the race that much harder on the Elite riders.
All of the top elite riders from the Australian and New Zealand were in attendance, other that Warwick Stevenson, whom is still recovering from Knee Surgery, so the competition was very strong. Following a disappointing 8th place finish at the UCI final the weekend before at Round 2 in Nerang for Michael, he was ready for a good main event result. As the main loaded up, it was easily one of the hardest main events in the history of the Australia series, with the best 8 riders in the country all in the main.
