Racing at arena tracks week in week out wears on the current AA pros. DC's Dwayne Taylor had the idea to change things up and hold a fun race at Randy Stumpfhauser's backyard trails. The track has two lanes and a lot of effort was put into preparing the trails for the race. With the weather being on the skeptical side, some of the SoCal riders didn't drive the 5 hours up North to meet at Stumpy's. They should have. Everything was taken care of and that includes a killer track, a DJ, free lunch, $1500 singles for the winner (by DC), champagne for the top three finishers and $250,= USD checks for fastest qualifyer and for the 2nd place finisher (courtesy of Shimano).

ESPN, Inc. and AEG announced that the 11th annual X Games will be held in and around Los Angeles for a third consecutive year. The event is scheduled for August 4-7, 2005. The annual X Games is the premier action sports event in the world and showcases more than 150 of the world's top athletes competing in Bike Stunt, Moto X, Skateboard, Surfing and Wakeboard. X Games 11 will be telecast live on ESPN and ABC. For 2005, the Home Depot Center will host an increased number of X Games competitions, while other events will return to STAPLES Center. Additional venues and ticket sales information will be announced on a later date.
