From July 20-24, X Games 2022 will host BMX, Skateboard and Moto X competitions at three unique athlete training facilities in Southern California. Monster Energy, the official energy drink partner of X Games, is ready to bring the stoke with its team of top athletes and multiple X Games gold medalists to this history-making sports spectacle. The 65th edition of X Games will be closed to the public with no spectators in attendance. Medal events will be contested at three unique athlete training facilities around Southern California and broadcast live to global audiences.

A huge weekend for action sports in one of the most storied contests is in the books! The Monster Energy team claimed podium spots in BMX Street. Second place went to 24-year-old Felix Prangenberg from Cologne, Germany. He was joined on the podium by 26-year-old Jordan Godwin from Newport, United Kingdom, and 27-year-old Kevin Peraza from Tucson in fifth place. What a way to end the season! Monster Energy congratulates team rider Daniel Sandoval on claiming the overall series win in the 2022 Monster Energy BMX Triple Challenge on Saturday. At the final stop of the competition series in Denver, Colorado, the 27-year-old from Corona, California, took second place in BMX Dirt to finish the season at the top of the leaderboard. Sandoval also soared above the competition in the Best Trick event and claimed the win.
“Winning the overall title feels pretty good and I’m just happy with the drive I’ve had lately to want to push hard. And to show up and have a trick list so big it’s hard to pick which ones will work for the weekend,” said Sandoval upon winning the 2022 Monster Energy BMX Triple Challenge series title.

In the heated BMX Street final, 23-year-old Australian team rider Lewis Mills clinched the gold medal, bringing the Monster Energy team’s total X Games medal haul on Saturday to five medals (1 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze). The BMX Flatland competition, contested for the first time in 19 years at X Games, saw 36-year-old Moto Sasaki from Chiba, Japan, claim bronze In the inaugural event at ZOZO Marine Stadium.
