This spring a unique tour brought the vibes of Pannonian Challenge to Zagreb, Varaždin and Rijeka. Challenge Tour warmed up whole of Croatia for the jubilee edition of the best extreme sports festival. Croatia became richer for another “travelling” competition, while about 80 registered riders in all disciplines proved that extreme sports are at their peak in Croatia. Local BMX, inline and skate riders have had the opportunity to win valuable prizes through the Challenge Tour, so many of them came to Zagreb on April 13th, where, despite the gloomy weather, there was a great atmosphere in which young athletes especially showed their spirits. FISE European Series stops have been classified by the UCI as a C1 events, meaning riders can now grab points towards qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games! For over four years, the UCI and Hurricane Group have partnered together so that each stop of the FISE World Series, exclusively hosts the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup. For the brand new FISE European Series, this collaboration has been extended. The UCI has labelled Madrid and Châteauroux as C1, UCI events that will also provide an opportunity to gain points towards qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Mongoose announced today their professional BMX freestyle team is heading to Source Park in Hastings, UK on May 18th to host the brand’s first annual Mongoose Am Jam. The event – which will feature American riders Pat Casey, Kevin Peraza and Nikita Ducarroz, and UK riders Greg Illingworth, Ben Wallace, and Cam Peake – will give local youth the chance to meet, ride with, and learn tricks from the Mongoose team. Since 2012, Mongoose has hosted an annual Jam event at Camp Woodward in Woodward, Pennsylvania. These Jam events bring together the Mongoose team and their peers in BMX, for an authentic blend of camaraderie and competition.
