For the past three years, Canada's Weird & Revered crew has been working on a DVD entitled, "Vagabond Squad." To promote their upcoming full-length project, the boys will be dropping weekly web videos every Wednesday leading up to their May 11 premiere in Edmonton, Alberta. "Wagons West" is the first of their web videos which documents a summer road trip through Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, and Alberta.
Weird & Revered is a Canadian crew from Edmonton, Alberta. The boys have been busy stacking clips for a DVD, but managed to cook up this street mixtape in the meantime. Most of the footage is from their home province, but there are some clips from British Columbia and California scattered throughout.
When it comes to planning a BMX trip, the world is your playground. There are plenty of obvious destinations to choose from but the Weird & Revered took the unconventional way and went south. From Atlanta, Georgia to Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida the guys had a ton of adventures in their Dodge Mini Van!
"I filmed this video in my backyard throughout the summer and fall of 2016. Every session involved one camera, a tripod, an archaic MP3 player, headphones, and my ever-expanding list of trick ideas (most of which don’t actually work out). My usual audience is the assortment of birds and gophers who take up residence in the backyard. On occasion though, my neighbours may watch from afar in confusion. I can only imagine what they think when they hear grunts of frustration as I ride alone in the same line for hours on end." - Justin Schwanke
