Props Megatour 4
Teams: Too-Hip-Bulldawg-LastCall for alcohol-Manmaid-wezhepeople-Pr1miumProducts
Loacation: The Sunshine State, all over the place, many places were hit including trails, street and concrete and wooden ramp parks.
Duration: Long enough to be worth your money. Plus loads of bonus footage. Chosen from 56 hours of videotapes.
It's nice to have places to go where it's warm enough to ride in the wintertime. Florida provided what the Megatour was looking for. The trip started off at the UGP/Sparky's headquarters in Orlando with a barbeque and some drunken Gonz antics. Find all this in the bonus section. It's listed as day 0.
We're in Prague for the Freestyle Worlds and things are looking well. Loads of people made it and are enjoying the 25 Krone half liter beers. That's 80 Euro cents. The Swedish crowd is already drunk and supporting their homies from the stands in Master miniramp. The sun is out and the venue looks good with a wooden flatland floor, a street course with interesting obstacles, a dirt course with a 6 meter high deck to start off which is not for pussies. The mini ramp is the Braun one wth spine and sub box. The vert riders are riding the 16 meter wide vert ramp and is set up in the middle of a tennis stadium that hosts 7000 people.
We've seen the following riders around and we can't wait for the first pro contest later on today [miniramp].
If you hadn't noticed by now, we like to run some old pics over here at FATBMX.
Never thought a picture of someone doing an X-up wheelie on a cruiser could look this good.

We had some complaints from kids' parents that we had too much pornographic material going on at FATBMX. Making this an 18+ only section saves our ass a little bit. It's actually pretty useless to use the 18+ term with this month's Rooster Bikes girl from Italy. Unless some crazy parent thinks her boots are too sexy for their kids........
The 2005 edition of the Nokia FISE sees a few changes. Next to flatland on the available asphalt piece, the vert ramp will be covered in skatelite. There will also be a dirt contest, best trick contest and the whole street course will be brand new. See the diagram to get an idea of what it will look like. Scheduled to appear from the USA/Canada are: Metro winner Josh Harrington and his Premium Products team mates Joe Riley and Ryan Mills. Also Max Vincent is making a return. Allan Cooke is checking in with his Euro relatives for the second time this year and Rob Darden is on the list too. From Australia SE's Ryan Guettler is coming over so together with the European riders it should be a good one. More info on: www.nokiafise.com
Here is an alternative for bmx-riders who do not have the time and or money to travel to the worlds in Prague.
The Parano*Garage Park Masters, this contest is for riders with no
sponsor and first time contest participants, but all others are also
welcome for jam around and party afterwards in the legendary Dinis disco. The contest takes place for the second time in the north of Germany in the Playground Skate Hall in Aurich on 04.06. + 05.06.05.
You don't have to be a multi time X-Games medalist to get on the Cover of BMX Plus! magazine. Hoang Tran proves that. The people at Plus are pretty good at giving new talent some pics in the magazine. Based a bit North of LA (and the OC), they simply run into other talent and there is plenty of talent out riding at the local parks these days. The Inside Scoop are the pages that bring the news. There's also a one page interview with Sam Schultz, the man behind Tree Bike Co. Dale Holmes gives the race update and there's a page on the DC sprint race. Reader letters? Sure. The Nostalgia page is one for coaster brake lovers as Todd Anderson sails a one footed invert at the Enchanted ramp on his General bike (what happened to that brand?). Sam Cools' and Brian Castillo's bikes get inspected and the Free Agent Limo bike gets tested. You want Extreme dirt jumping? you got it. 6 pages of it. There's an ABA race report that starts on p. 38 before we get to the Ryan Mills interview. Ryan's coming to the FISE so meet him in person there. Just in time for summer there's a beanie review. Another bike test (Hoffman Disrupter), BB/Crank installment how-to and a how-to fill the next few pages. Eben Fisher gets an interview and the Supercross MXP frame is being put through the test. There's more.
Tour Dur Laarbeek 2005
Organising the Famous FAT JAM for over 15 years we never thought it would be possible to have another event in our little town Aarle-Rixtel. We were wrong since Laarbeek bought 4 Miniramps so it was time to organise a "TOUR DUR LAARBEEK" and Mike Smits the Social worker did a great job to organise everything in every town.
First stop was Mariahout with a 1.7m high and 6m wide mini, second stop was Lieshout with a 1.50m high wedge mini, third was the spine mini of 1.5m high in Beek en Donk and last but not least on the best ramp of the 4: Aarle-Rixtel with its 6m wide 1.8m and 1.5m high Mini.
11 Riders from all over the Netherlands entered the BMX class: Joeri Faassen, Rens and Pim van den Bos from Veldhoven, Rick from
