The folks at Hotwheels in the UK have decided to show a bit of their BMX roots by showing their old school bike collection online. Find bikes from Patterson, SE, Kuwahara, Hutch, Mongoose and Diamond Back that date way back to 1978. Cruising through the site you'll step back into time when BMX racing was just starting up and freestyle bikes like this chrome Hutch Trickstar had just hit the market. Never mind that high laid back seatpost.
Perfect trails, a good atmosphere and sunshine all around: Those were the conditions for the first T-Mobile Local Support Challenge in the Abflughalle Grevenbroich on the weekend of 21st of April 2007. All in all ten BMX teams from all regions of Germany had a great battle in front of the judges Andy Zeiss, Achim Kujawski and Sari Jörgensen. It was all about top-prizes, like a new Local Support Obstacle or a complete BBQ party. Furthermore there was a T-Mobile Wildcard to be had, awarded to the best unsponsored BMX rider who would then be able to move directly into the finals of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds event in Herten on the 12th of May.
The “Sport Import Team” with Markus Hampl, Bjorn Heyer and Benny Paulsen won the team challenge at the end of the day and are now looking forward to a brand new custom made Local Support Obstacle. The T-Mobile Wildcards stayed local with Mike Buse (BMX) going to ride with top-riders like Ryan Nyquist at the Dirt Session, which is the premiere of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds series,
