The inaugural X Games Mexico Presented by Rockstar Energy Drink concluded today in Mexico City as 14,038 screaming fans welcomed a world-class, international field of gravity defying athletes. The three-day event showcased some of the world's best action sport athletes from 12 countries and three continents, competing in BMX Freestyle Street, Skateboard Street and Moto X Best Trick at the Palacio de los Deportes. 

Flatland riders have been considered strange individuals. They've got their own character, do things their own way and have passion. It was time for Alain Massabova to get their thoughts together in a book. He asked the top flatland riders to write down why they are practicing for hours every day to learn that one trick. The 188 page book is in French and English (translated either direction) and has tons of great photos.

The judges at the 2007 King of New York had one of their most difficult challenges ever this year in deciding who the King of New York Pro Champion would be but in the end, Jorge Jovel edged out Craig Mast to bring the King of New York Pro Title back to the Bronx.

First-place qualifier, Craig came out swingin’ in the Jam on Sunday with bangers like double whips over the box and alley-oop flairs on the 6-foot quarter. But Jorge was not to be outdone, has been riding hard at Woodward Camp all winter long and the consistency and strength of his riding came through. His big transfers, huge front flips over the WesselBuilt box, and flairs and tailwhips on the 8-foot quarter put an exclamation point on his smooth, solid riding all weekend. When all was said and done, Jorge walked away $1000 richer and with a grip of new digs from Zoo York clothing. This is Jorge’s third KoNY Pro title – he claimed victory in 2001 and 2002. 

The X-Games in Mexico have BMX vert and street. Simon Tabron won the vert comp and here are your ten qualified riders for the street finals:

The energy of the spectators shook the venue in Day Two of X Games Mexico Presented by Rockstar Energy Drink. Fans gathered to watch athletes exert amplitude and difficult maneuvers in the BMX Freestyle Vert finals. BMX Freestyle Street Elimination Rounds also selected finalists for events to be held tomorrow. In the BMX Freestyle Vert Final Simon Tabron of Great Britain, and USA riders Jay Eggleston and Zack Warden contended for the gold with high energy routines in the BMX Freestyle Vert Final. The three were the remaining finalists out of 10 competitors in the head-to-head jam format. 

The first day of X Games Mexico Presented by Rockstar Energy Drink kicked off last night at the Palacio de los Deportes. With a strong international representation of competitors from around the Globe participating in the BMX Freestyle Vert Elimination Rounds, today's festivities marked the first time an international X Games event has been held in Mexico City. In response to the opening day, Gerardo Casanova, general manager, ESPN Mexico said, "We are very excited to have X Games Mexico Presented by Rockstar Energy Drink in our city. 

Here's to brighter skies, that's the motto on the TWOAND8 / Stephen Murray t-shirt. As luck would have it, the worst summer ever in Britain took a break for the weekend and the resulting benefit jam turned out to be one of the best of the year. People young and old, friends new and old, they turned up from all over the country to ride, hang out and show their support for Stephen. It's fair to say that everyone had an amazing time. The total amount raised from the weekend has yet to be finalised but a sum near £10,000 is not far off the mark. 

The 2007 NBL season has been one of the best NBL title chases in history. With a slew of great finishes from multiple riders throughout the season, the NBL title would be decided by the outcome of the main event. Cristian Becerine and Kyle Bennett went into the Grands just 2 points apart and it would come down to which of these two riders finished up better in the main event. 2006 NBL Pro #1 Donny Robinson still had a shot at the title as well, so it was going to be a all out battle for one rider to walk away with the NBL #1 Pro plate. This was by far the most anticipated event of the 2007 NBL season and the Double A Marketing Pros were up for the chance to win a #1 title. Here is how they finished up at the NBL Grands:

Kyle Bennett may just be the best Pro rider in BMX right now. After missing the start of the 2007 Season after having major surgery on his knee, Kyle came back in April in a big way, with some impressive results, including a slew of wins. 

The American Bicycle Association hosted the Black Nationals Nationals this past weekend, August 31 - September 2, in Reno, NV. The summer Reno is always one the top races of the year for the fans. Being an indoor event the climate was great, the Factory Team areas were packed, and the track was great and smooth as glass! The racing at the Black Jack was awesome to say the least.
