This weekend the third round of the Dew Action SPorts Tour takes place in Portland. Dirt Prelims are just finished and it has Morgan Wade on top. Check who else made it to the finals in dirt.

The Simpel Session orga crew published the drawings of the course layout for Simpel Session Summer Splash. The course is compact but very nicely flowing. We can't wait to see people shred that thing. And we also have a good news for Tallinn locals - after the contest the course is going inside Pääsküla skatehall and stay there for everyone to ride, anytime.

UCI is pleased to announce the 2008 permanent career numbers for Elite Men and Elite Women. Please see attachment or click on the link below to view the current list of numbers. These numbers must be used at all international BMX events worldwide. Starting with the season 2006-2007 (from 1 August 2006), the UCI introduced a permanent number system for Elite Men & Elite Women. With this system, riders can choose a “career number”, which they have the exclusive right to use for their entire Elite class career. 

It took Allan Pederson 6 months to recover from knee injury but it's good to see him back on the bike. Allan's from Copenhagen Denmark (where Thomas Skou took the photo) but he spent time with the locals in Malaga, Spain to recover from the injury. We're sure he had a Cerveza or two on the way to recovery. Allan would like to thank everyone who supported him in this rough time off the bike.

In efforts to bring awareness and financial support, to the recent injuries, his best friend Stephen Murray sustained, in a bike crash on June 22nd, Cory Nastazio will be hosting a "Ride for Stephen Murray Benefit" at his trials on September 15th. This will be the first televised and media covered event, Cory has done at his new trials in Tehachapi, Ca, near Woodward West.

In case you didn't know, Zwanzig BMX magazine is made at the Mellowpark in Berlin, the same place that hosted the Rebel Jam last weekend. A new printer made it possible for the new issue to be finished right before the jam. It took only four days to get printed which is pretty quick. This helps keeping contest reports, news and interviews current and number twenty already has a BMX Masters report, Empire of Dirt report and a Dew Tour (Baltimore) report. Josh Stricker lived in Berling for a while and gets an interview. So handy when the riders come to your town so you've got time to shoot some pics and find the right time to get the inteview done.

Some articles in Zwanzig aren't too time sensitive, like the Shutter's World articles with photographers Georg Oberlechner, Chris Polack, Mr. Takeo, Daniel Kralik and Justin Kosman. 

There were a few standouts at this year's Rebel Jam. Sean Saxton was one of them. When Andy Z told me that he was the only one missing his bike when he arrived from the USA, I didn't even know what bike he would be waiting for. Sean is a KINK rider and from now on I won't forget him. His style is amazing and fun to watch. He did one of the biggest moves of the contest which was a bunnyhop to hang-five on a ledge that went down after 10 feet of flat. He pulled it smooth too. His turndown 3-s are great and he did all kind of tricks that surprised me. It was nice to see a new rider in the mix and Sean was it. Bruno Hoffmann had perfect runs in qualifing. He's way too good for his age (14) and the wethepeople rider showed that making finals in pro street at the FISE wasn't a one time affair. You can have a lucky day but Bruno had two as he pulled all tricks in the finals too. Maybe he's just consistent. His tricks? He recently learned 720-s and pulled those, big wallride-360-s, downside whips all over the course, 540-s, you name it. MC Catfish couldn't believe what he saw.
