PARALYZED TO BMX BIKE RIDING IN 10 MONTHS! We made it to 1 million subscribers! In honor of this milestone I said that I would get back on my BMX bike and ride at my skate park for the first time since my accident 10 months ago when I broke my neck, smashed my skull, had three brain bleeds, and was expected to be paralyzed from the neck down! I have been so lucky throughout my recovery but this video proves that there is light at the end of every dark tunnel you just need the will and determination to find it. I miss being a professional BMX rider but this video means that I will always be one I am so excited to see how much progress I can make in the future and I am so excited to keep filming YouTube videos for you all!
For the first video from the Mongoose Jam 2017 we bring you Team Casey, featuring Pat Casey, Mike Varga, Jack Clark, and camper Jake Senger. These guys threw down some serious moves all over Woodward East—and from the looks of it they had plenty of fun while doing it. Check out the video filmed and cut by Brandon Means and check back here everyday for the rest of the week for videos from the rest of the teams…
In typical English weather fashion, it rained for two days in the middle of our UK road trip so we headed down to The Base Skatepark for a session. The Box Jumps, smooth rhythm section and foam pit ended up making it one of my favorite indoor skateparks yet. The last day of the trip consisted of a chill outdoor skatepark session and some dirt bike riding at the quarry in Josh’s hometown of Cheltenham.
This year for the Mongoose Jam we are keeping the Video Battle format but switching it up by going to Woodward, PA. Five teams with three pros, one camper and one videographer will battle it out to get a piece of the $40,000 prize purse. Who will take it; Team Illingworth, Team Casey, Team Peraza, Team Ryan or Team Wallace? Check back Monday, 8-14 to see the first video.
WeThePeople's Dillon Lloyd, Jordan Godwin, Dean Hartley, Justin Hughes, and Jared Chilko go van-less in Vancouver for 7 days, cruising the streets and using the city's dialed public transportation system along the way. Dialed technical lines throughout, a shit-load of back-wheel balance, and one hell of a banger make this one a must-watch. Unfortunately the OG of the trip Jared Chilko got taken out on day zero, but aside from that the trip was absolutely amazing. Shouts to the WTP squad on this trip and OGC for making the accommodations!
Vans BMX Pro Rider Jason Watts takes you behind the scenes at the Vans BMX Pro Cup World Championships to get some video clips of his fellow riders, using some unorthodox techniques in his usual Aussie style.
Lords of dirt were back for their 13th edition. Riders went wild one more time and gave the best show ever to the crowd. Timothe Bringer grab the best trick crown with an insane flip triple whip followed by a cashroll while Anthony Jean Jean made it again by winning the pro comp for the second year in a row.
