Day one of the BMX Masters 2011 in Cologne, Germany is over and like you can imagine, it was amazing! The weather forecast hold up, the sun was out all day and you will see some nice sunburns tomorrow. The Amateur Park Contest was not as packed as the years before. The German amateur riders had to qualify for the Park contest. 72 riders rode the Amateur Park contest and we had to learn that the gap between the Pros and Amateur riders is getting smaller every year.
Declan Brooks (UK) qualified with some nice Tricks with the first place for the finals on Sunday morning.
Rene Boener (GER) and
Felix Prangenberg (GER), just 13 years old, placed second and third.
Flatland was the kick off for the Pro Contets. The atmosphere was already intense! We are really looking forward to the finals on Saturday. The crowd pushed the riders to the limit. The BMX Masters are always good for a little surprise, this year
Daniel Dhers entered the Pro Flatland qualification. He obviously enjoyed the 2.5 minutes of riding on flat ground.
