The Vans Off the Wall Skatepark and Jack’s Garage skate shop grand opening celebration took place this past weekend in Huntington Beach, California. The day’s festivities included an official ribbon cutting, tons of skateboarding, autograph signings from Vans pro skateboarders and the inaugural “SoCal Sole of Fame” induction ceremony honoring local legends. 2013 has been the best year The Bakery has seen since it’s birth in 2011. In 2013 we have torn down, rebuilt and produced what we set to produce, quality BMX videos that highlighted some of the best BMX riders on the planet. Our Preheating, Baker’s Dozens, Special Recipes, Ingredients and Secret Recipe event all accomplished their respective goals and were a pleasure to watch and produce. Furthermore, these projects surpassed our original expectations. Combining talented people with a relentless work ethic always produces successful results.
Last weekend many top BMX pros joined the local BMX community to celebrate the completion of Woodward at Copper’s renovation with a weekend long REMIX party. More than 4,000 people went through the Woodward at Copper Barn during the event, and total attendance at the resort for the REMIX weekend was over 14,250. BMX pros Gary Young, Morgan Wade, Zach Warden, Adam Baker and AJ Anaya were joined by the heavy local Pusher BMX crew for the demo in the Woodward at Copper bowl. With X Games Big Air Gold Medal Wins, Zach Warden took the lead on the big air ramp demo showing everyone some of the tricks he is known for.
The energy during the BMX demo was intense with each rider pushing the level a little higher until it ended. Highlights from the day were Gary Young’s huge transfer from the shallow-end to the deep-end of the bowl, and Morgan Wade’s gap from the big air ramp up to the second story pump track.

Reasons stated for disallowing bikes into the
It's amazing to see how many skateparks are being built. The towns that once put a miniramp next to the basketball field, are now investing in concrete parks because of the number of kids in town that ride, skate and scoot. Thing is, with concrete you can get creative and design/build whatever you want. Concrete lasts forever so it's a good investment as well. With the help of DC, a new fun concrete park was built in beach town St. Jean de Luz in the South-West of France. If there are no waves that day, there's always the concrete.
Contrary to public knowledge Morocco boosts a substantial Skate and BMX culture growing bigger and bigger each year. The major cities have seen a growth of 200% of riders over just one year and several crews have been founded, such as Pipe Life BMX or Atlas Skateboarding. Further is teaming up with these two crews to not only build a skatepark in a now empty lot in the city center of Casablanca, but will also offer workshops to teach the locals how to build and maintain their park.
