But that doesn’t seem to hamper this humble shredder from San Diego one bit…

Unsung Hero: Clay Brown
Clay Brown is a constant contributor to the greater good of BMX. A prominent figure in his local Denver, Colorado scene for over 20 years, Clay has done an unmeasurable amount of help to make that scene what it is today. From digging trails, producing videos, making a magazine called Pusher for over a decade, to his bike shop/mail order, (also called Pusher)—Clay puts his heart and soul into avenues that help grow his scene—and BMX as a whole—in a selfless manner, and it’s about time he gets a little recognition for it.
Caught Off Guard: Tony Neyer
Rest assured, Tony Neyer has had his fair share of triumphant death-defying risks and plenty of injuries, as well. Ride In Peace: Scot Breithaupt & Glenn Salyers
Even though death is inevitable, that doesn’t make it any less painful or easier to deal with. BMX took a heavy blow this year with the passing of a number of riders, including the pioneer of BMX racing, Scot Breithaupt, and a young rider who was only beginning to blow up on the scene—in a big way—Glenn Salyers.

The Ramp II: Scotty Cranmer
The Ramp was first appeared in the July 2009 issue in an article featuring Garrett Byrnes, Jimmy Levan, Dave Osato, and Craig Mast. Six years later, the ramp is back, only more sturdy, stronger, slightly larger, with a fresh paint job and supported by Monster. Scotty Cranmer had the pleasure of breaking in the new ramp in New Jersey for a few days and he wasted no time with finding a few cool and unusual uses for it.
