Following on from the success of last years event, again for 2014 4Down is offering the exclusive use of its private bike/skate park to host its 24­hour charity fundraising event for the Boyley Trust Fund. The more we raise, the better the improvements being made to the Boyley park will be. There will be pro BMX/skateboarders in attendance to open the event.

To take part simply register via the web page linked below to book your one­ hour slot at the cost of £5 per person. Ten people can ride or skate per hour slot, so you can register as a group for £50 for the hour, or individually. The Albion is approaching its third birthday. From George’s flat in South London we’ve created a respected magazine with a global audience. We’ve provided content that has been insightful, inspiring and at times controversial. Producing six high quality magazines in a year can be one hell of a headache, so we’re going to distill our efforts into three magazines a year, starting with issue 18 which will be available on April 1st. We've got a lot of "First timers" at the Simple Session this year. We're posting up little interviews with some of them in the weeks leading up to the event. Special congratulations to Simon Moratz landing his very first double backflip just for us in Gabon. An outstanding performance saluted by everyone!

All the flat show led by Alex Jumelin, Viki Gomez and Raphael Chiquet were top level and even impressed the President himself!

A while back Daniel Dhers asked for help on getting a logo made for his new Action Sports park. The winner has been chosen: The Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex is pleased to announce that a winner has been chosen for the International Logo Design Contest. We would like to thank everyone for all the wonderful and creative submissions that we received. Due to the large number of entries, the decision process was delayed and took us just a little bit longer to decide on a winning logo. After weeks of debate, we would like to congratulate Gaby Velásquez, Graphic Designer, from Oakland Park, Florida for creating and submitting the following logo design, which we have chosen as the winning logo to represent the Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex.

ESPN will present the inaugural X Games Austin June 5-8, 2014, at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. This year’s event will host more than 200 athletes at COTA and in downtown Austin. Action sports fans visiting COTA will enjoy many staple X Games disciplines at two different locations along the track’s 3.4 miles, including the newly added discipline of Stadium SUPER Trucks and the homecoming of BMX Dirt to U.S. soil after making its return last year at X Games Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil.

Since being elevated to an Olympic sport, BMX has seen more professionalism and the rise of more spectacular courses. And for kids BMX is the best way to feel sure-footed on two wheels and work on their bike handling skills. Since this may involve a couple of crashes every now and then, the protective gear is all the more important. To further push the development, iXS has chosen to cooperate with two top athletes on both a national and an international level: David Graf is one of Switzerland’s fastest BMX racers and has proven to be a top contender in the 4cross format as well. Australian Caroline Buchanan may have had to settle for fifth at London’s Olympic games, but one year later she was back to win the world championship titles in both BMX and 4cross. Furthermore we are proud to have the European Champion, Toon Jacobs, on our Products. iXS is being represented in the top ranks of the BMX world as well.

Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand begins 2014 celebrating the legacy of the Vans Sidestripe.
