Best known for his accomplishments in the world of BMX, professional rider Chad Kagy has announced today his plans to join Teva® and its team of respected athletes. With Kagy’s plans to blur his BMX roots with his interest in freeride mountain biking, his addition to the Teva team further solidifies the brands growing commitment and passion to the mountain bike community and culture.

“I like how progressive Teva is with their design and products,” says Kagy. “They recently stepped into mountain biking and support some of the best athletes and events within this space. I appreciate their approach and passion.”

Officially kicking off his career at the age of 17, Kagy has made a name for himself in the BMX world by consistently placing in the top three at both the XGames and Dew Tour over the past five years. He is known for his versatility in BMX but took the crowd by surprise at the 2012 Winter Teva Mountain Games

Sony Big Air Triples will feature 18 of the world’s best BMX and skateboarding pros in a unique head-to-head bracket-style competition that showcases versatility and innovation on a one-of-a-kind 195-foot-long Big Air Triples course. The Triples format combines the best of dirt, park, vert and box jump skills while challenging the athletes to show off their best three back-to-back tricks on a course that includes a 26’ high roll-in ramp, two 25’ wide jumps and a course-ending 14’ high quarter pipe. The head-to-head format of the competition makes the contest easy to follow, creates fan engagement and increases the level of excitement.

Here at Freegun we’ve been working hard to beef up our BMX program, and now we are proud to introduce AJ Anaya to the pro team! Originally from Denver, Colorado, AJ’s recent move to Southern California has allowed him to spend more time than ever on his bike, and it shows each time he steps across the top tube. When not shredding his backyard ramps at the Snowden Compound, AJ spends a lot of his time traveling to contests, hanging out at Camp Woodward, and filming for various video projects.
