Take Europe‘s most renowned trails, a picturesque landscape, a chill atmosphere and add the world‘s best dirt BMXers and the result is clear: The 2012 edition of VANS Kill the Line will be like a moving encyclopaedia of BMX trail riding. Besides all the European bangers, some of the best international riders will send it on the 1st & 2nd of September 2012, in Peynier, Southern France – Corey Bohan, Chris Doyle, Kye Forte, Mike „Hucker“ Clark, Anthony Napolitan, Paul Langlands and last years winner TJ Ellis being only some of the names to mention (see more below). A crew of judges from France, Canada, UK and Austria will decide who has what it takes to potentially dethrone TJ and take home some of the 7000 Euros prize money.

The international BMX pro contest organised by French dirt legend Alex Dropsy and his team at their local spot, is back for the 4th consecutive year. Massive new jumps and the rebuilt line through the legendary Peynier Trails are guaranteed thanks to master builder Bérenger „Guilb“ Cordier – who placed 3rd in 2011.

Just in time for Dew Tour’s flatland debut in Ocean City, Maryland this past weekend Alex Jumelin joined the growing team of Freegun riders. Alex has been in the flatland game for nearly two decades and has redefined the word style time and time again while reinventing himself and his personal arsenal of tricks. Originally from Paris, France, Alex moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, in July of this year and plans to continue traveling the world filming video parts and competing in contests. Let's get the promotion campaign started! We're going Heavy Metal style all day at the 24th edition of the FAT-JAM in Aarle-Rixtel. Fitting music, free beer and the dress code is: Heavy Metal. Tight jeans, long hair, jeans vests, spiked bracelets, black shirts and crazy sunglasses. You better get ready for this one. After the riding is done at the Sugar Hills, Monster Energy will start up the BBQ and we'll be preparing for a crazy night out at OJA, with a live heavy metal cover band. Is it gonna rock? The first LXVI BMX Invitational presented by Vans hits the beach on August 24th and 25th at the historic Virginia Beach Oceanfront alongside the Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships presented by Vans. The LXVI BMX Invitational challenges twenty of the world’s best BMX riders including Scotty Cranmer, Ryan Guettler, Ryan Nyquist and Cory Nastazio as they compete in a triple box jump contest for their share of a $25,000 prize purse. This summer’s LXVI BMX Invitational will be held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships, the oldest surf contest in North America and the second longest continuously-run surf contest in the world. The Coastal Edge ECSC beach festival, held on August 20th – 26th, features skateboarding, BMX and motocross demos along with music and other beach activities throughout the weekend.

In its eighth season as a founding partner of the Dew Tour, Toyota returns with an all-star lineup of Team Toyota athletes that will help bring excitement to the renowned action sports tour in San Francisco, Calif. for the first time ever. Toyota will be represented by six athletes from the 2011 Dew Tour, including undefeated BMX vert champion Jamie Bestwick, legendary skateboarder and true action sports ambassador, Bob Burnquist, up-and-coming BMX park rider Drew Bezanson. Defending snowboard champion Louie Vito, Olympic snowboarder Elena Hight and leading freestyle skier, Simon Dumont, will return to Team Toyota during the Dew Tour’s third and final stop in Breckenridge Colo.

Action sports have become synonymous with “firsts.” Whether it was the 900 in skateboard vert or the double backflip in BMX, there is never a shortage of history being made. From October 18 -21, Toyota will contribute to action sports’ history as it helps transform San Francisco into an action-packed, adrenaline-filled mecca as the title sponsor of the Dew Tour’s second stop in the City by the Bay.

The Dew Tour kicks off tomorrow at Ocean City Pier. Fox BMX riders Scotty Cranmer (the reigning Dew Tour 2011 BMX Park Champion and 2012 X Games gold medalist for BMX Freestyle Park), Drew Bezanson and Pat Casey (2012 X Games bronze medalist in BMX Freestyle Park) will be participating at the event and they're also going to do an autograph session on Friday, Aug. 17 from 6-7 p.m. at Quiet Storm (7409 Coastal Highway in Ocean City).

Before we officially opened the 040 BMX Park on the 27th of January 2012 we had some temporary ramps in the same hall as we’re currently located. The ramps included a resi ramp but at the time we didn’t have the right material for it. During the summerstop we found suitable material to use for the resi and decided to build it straight away.

As our space is limited we decided to build the resi on the place where the little box with slanted wall was located.
