On sunday the 27th we celebrate the first summer Session at our PG Trails in Oldenburg, Germany. The weather was awesome, and about hundred riders met at the trails to ride and chill together. The temper was really cool, everyone no matter if he is a pro or a rookie ride together and showed respect to the other one. To sum up it was a great weekend. The ‘In the Bin’ short film festival is now in its eighth year and has grown immensely to become a unique event that touches on regions both far and wide. The festival began as a simple indoor event, in the local high school gymnasium with a modest crowd of 300, in Jed Cahill’s home town Currumbin, Gold Coast. To the credit of Jed and his team the festival is now showcased on two large screens at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary parklands, over five days with crowds exceeding 3,000.
It’s impossible to imagine, but today Red Bull Elevation turned the Parque Metropolitano into a runway. Thirty bicycles rolled for more than three hours over tons of dirt that give shape to the most impressive BMX Dirt Jump track. The best riders of the world jumped up to three meters of height with only one thing in mind: to perform the best and most perfect tricks such as tailwhips, barspins and frontflips.
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
