For the party photo lovers we've got some pictures of the second night. It wasn't a rager but it was good to catch up with even more BMX-ers in town. The line at Club Hollywood was just too long and the 10 Krooni Whiskey wasn't happening this night. We ended up at a bar which, to no surprise, had karaoke going on. 

It was a heavy BMX week all because of the Simpel Session in Tallinn. I'm not sure but I think it was my 5th time in Estonia and I always look forward in going back. The Simpel Session rocked once again and apart from a few people getting injured and a hole in the hotel wall (grow up kids), it was nothing but good news.

I designed this frame with front wheel tricks in mind. I spend a lot of time on my front wheel, so this frame is kind of oriented towards that. It also has a shorter rear end and an integrated seat post clamp with a 6 mm bolt, so that it won’t break or strip as easily. The main part of the frame though is the removable break mounts. We came up with a solid design that looks really clean when you are riding with them or without them. The luna bars are 8” high and 26.5” wide. They have 2 degrees of upsweep and  11 backsweep.

Mike Vincent is a BMX rider who has been a prominent fixture in the sport for many years. Mike has worked as a judge for all of the major competitions, including the X Games, LG Action Sports World Tour, AST Dew Tour, and the former Gravity Games. He has also been a part of most of the core BMX competitions, including Rebel Jam and the CFB events. Mike is also a regular at any Los Angeles track bike gatherings and all around a great guy.

Some of you may have already heard about Mike's terrible accident two weeks ago. While riding his bicycle on the way to work he was struck by a car. Although he sustained minimal body injuries, he did sustain major head trauma. After multiple brain surgeries in the initial days, Mike looked to be headed towards a speedy recovery. He was lucid and talkative. He even managed to tell the doctors that he didn't eat meat along with asking to go to 7-11 for Gatorade.

The first time I heard about Aaron Ross was from an Empire BMX ad with him doing a barspin bunnyhop over a tennis court net. This blew me away because I remembered doing lines using the tennis nets down the street from my house. I knew how tall they were. Could this guy actually be barspinning a tennis court net? I had to see more.

At the time, Aaron was in the middle of filming for his first Empire video. When his part came out it confirmed how good he was on a bike to me. Not too long after that, I got to meet him at the Vancouver Metro Jam. I remember him doing tricks that were leaning in the direction that I thought riding would eventually be headed. In addition to that, one of the most interesting things that I noticed was how nice he was as a person. That really stuck out in my head. Was it possible to be a totally amazing bike rider while actually being an incredibly humble and nice guy at the same time? Here was the proof. 

DK bicycles is excited to announce the latest addition to our Damn Kids team….Chris Childs. Chris is 17 and hails from Attleboro, Massachusetts. DK is proud to have Chris Childs on board for 2008.

DK Team manager Catfish had this to say:
“I met Chris at the Dew Tour Finals in Orlando. He was going 4 feet higher than everyone on everything. We decided that for 2008 we would allow our pro team to pick the entire flow team and when Brian Hunt told me his pick was Chris-I was stoked. Chris is an amazing rider not to mention he works at Union Cycle in Attleboro. Plan on seeing lots more of Mr. Childs this year. Welcome to the team Chris!"

What makes the Simpel Session so good? Well, a lot of things. If you have nothing to complain about, that means the organization has done its job. I couldn't think of anything that they could've done better so props to Risto & Mario Kalmre and their big crew. It seems like everything they do, they do it right or have people who do an amazing job at it. The course was designed by Nate Wessel, you can't go wrong there. Mario has a ramp building company that has been building ramps for years which made it easy for Nate when he
