I started keeping a daily journal way back in 1987 when I was only 15 years old. Back when I was a just a freshman in high school. Since then, every single freakin’ day of my life has been documented in these journals. If it happened in my life, then I wrote it down & documented it. And believe me; I’ve got some stories to tell! Looking back over the years, here is a journal entry that stands out and also my comments looking back now.
Hoffman Contest, SCRAP Skatepark -Chaos November 18th, 1993
Actual Journal Entry
“We went over to the SCRAP skatepark in the afternoon & rode all day. I learned a lot of good stuff. Afterwards, a zillion BMXers went out to some country style bar. Matt Hoffman & Rick Thorne were singing on stage. It was funny! 

Mankind is very happy to announce that close friend and hyper energy duracell Björn “Bommel” Mager from Berlin, Germany is now riding for Mankind Bike Co. .

Bommel is overly friendly but also that generally loud and a lot talking nerd, which is even doing double whip flips after being a party animal the night before and looking like a zombie on a 20” inch.

You might have seen Bommel going bananas at the Masters in Cologne, if not come to Rebel Jam in Berlin and witness the slickness.

Yo what Up? I've been filmin' a lot on tour with FUSE NETWORK's "Warped Wednesday's", followin' me on tour ridin' and being tha smart- ass that I am......Ha! Ha! Been good & should gets sum sick coverage from tha show, "Warped Wednesday's", It's on FUSE NETWORK every Wednesday, It covers all different angles from tha tour(FUSE Is an music channel).......so far I filmed a 5 minute segment with them and thay have plans 2 do 2 more 5 minute segments with me........tha lifestyle of a pro BMX'er 11 years on this tour.....OH! I gots me sum stories that's 4Shore.........

Zwanzig Zoll magazine from Berlin always has this Girl section where a hot chick poses in between the Mellow park dirt jumps or in the back office. It's the work of David Ulrich who not only shoots BMX photos, but fashion as well. If you're going to the Rebel jam you might run into some of the models that have posed for his camera.

Come till Portimão for the greatest Flatland Contest carried in Portugal on 22 and 23 September 2007. The REMAX Fieldcontrol is an international Flatland event, with the purpose to whelp the Flatland evolution and give to the rider one opportunity to get a couple days fun. The event will have two classes, Stunt Boy (Masters) and Stunt Man (Pro), with a total price Money of 3.000,00€ for the Stunt Man class (1º-1200€; 2º-750€; 3º-550€; 4º-350€; 5º-150€).
The stunt Boy will receive gifts from our sponsors till the 5th place.

With 2 outdoor events cancelled due to excessive rain, we can't wait for the real summer to start. Daniel Dhers of Caracas, Venezuela narrowly edged out Ryan Nyquist to win the BMX Park competition. Dhers, last year's Dew Cup champion, finished with a 93.92 score, besting Nyquist’s effort of 93.25. Dhers, 22, donated his $15,000 prize money to the Stephen Murray Recovery Fund to help Murray who suffered a career-ending injury at the Panasonic Open in June. “All weekend I was thinking I have to make money to donate to Stephen, and now I’m glad to be able to say I stepped it up to do that,” said Dhers.

With Dhers winning the first two events of the 2007 season, he leads the AST Dew Tour standings with 200 points followed by Nyquist with 124 points.

The four-day competition is the second of five events of the AST Dew Tour that features skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross. Sunday’s schedule includes Freestyle Motocross and BMX Vert finals.
