When did you start FBM? Crandall: Officially, it was 1993, but probably even a little before then.
What made you decide to go against the Asians and start making bikes in-house? Steve: We are not against anybody getting frames made overseas. The decision to make bikes on our own, was due to our difficulties with other manufacturers, and desire to try and be more self sufficient. Bikes made in a factory are only as good as the person in charge, and how much they give a shit. Big Dave runs the machine shop at FBM, and is very skilled, experienced, and he is a super fun dude to hangout with.

Daily job functions include incoming and outgoing phone sales and customer service. An important part of the job will include close liaison with Product Development Team to share sales trends gathered from dealer phone calls.

Who are your customers? Super G: Anyone who rides bmx bikes! But the parts are speciality parts and most of the parts sales are to riders who are at least 3 years deep with dirt jumping & street riding.
What products do you make? Super G: Stem bolts in metric & standard sizes. Crank bolts for Profile cranks, DK chop stix and Odssey 41 thermal. Also we have Pinch bolts for Primo cranks. Our Brake Lever bolt fits most levers and complete bike kits. We also have some soft goods on our line like Mesh Hats, FlexFit hats, Hooded Sweatshirts & Zip up's, First Aid kits and sticker packs.

What's the name of your company? Achim: I started a distribution company last year called fastpace bike distribution.
What exactly do you do? Achim: BMX.
What brands do you carry and are you looking into carrying more brands in the future? Achim: So far it's Hoffman Bikes and Colony. Colony product should be available later this summer. We are definitely looking into carrying more brands in the future. Really important to us is to have enough room to represent every company in a way they deserve.
How do you plan to combine bizznizz work with all the riding/shows/travel?
What is it that you do these days? Glenn: I make videos and films. I still work for Transworld, my job is to produce one BMX video and one quad off-road film, there's a lot of extra stuff in there, like the presentation at the nora cup awards, company presentation stuff, and web videos.
