On 8-10 of October, from Thursday to Saturday, during the Russian stage of Gran Prix Formula 1 in Sochi, large international competition on BMX-freestyle in park and street disciplines «XSA Invitational» will be held in the territory of the Olympic Park. The competition will take place in the largest skate-park in Eurasia, which was built by the team «XSA ramps» 4 months ago. The skate-park occupies the square of a half of a football pitch (85x25 meters) and is divided into two parts. The first part is intended for shows and competitions on BMX- freestyle and rollers of different levels in park discipline and the second one is a street-park, which imitates street architecture with steps, sides and handrails of different height.
The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Management Committee has today agreed a series of key changes to a number of disciplines to modernise and improve cycling’s organisational structures and to help shape the future of the sport. Three cast members from the iconic 1979 cycling film “Breaking Away” met on stage and kicked off an incredible celebration of the cycling industry at the 2015 Interbike Awards Gala on Thursday, September 17th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Dennis Christopher (Dave Stoller), Jackie Earle Haley (Moocher) and Dennis Quaid (Mike) addressed the audience and posed with custom “Cutters” jerseys courtesy of Champion Systems, and a replica Masi road bike similar to the one used in the film.
