The March issue of RIDE BMX had a unique story of Nick Halsey, Jeff Z, T-Nez and Corey Bohan in Fiji. They built ramps in amazing places and shot awesome pics that you can see in the magazine. A video about the trip showed up on YouTube and you can see that the tricks in the photos were actually pulled. Leave it to Red Bull to come up with something like this.

Last weekend was good. For once the sun came out and although it was cold (there was ice on the puddles) everyone got out to do stuff. It was perfect to shape the trails and both the Sugar Hills in Aarle-Rixtel as well as the Helm Trails in Helmond got a make-over. Not an extreme make-over but the trails are rideable again and have some new sections. We'll have to check what Piet Paulusma has to say about the weather for the coming days but  you can count on some trails activity at both spots this weekend again. Join in and bring that shovel too.

So you may have noticed on the RideBMX website there was a bulliten posted about the 2008 Hitman Bike Pro Team. The owner of hitman claimed me as his team rider with out ever establishing a sponsorhip agreement with me, neither did he consult me about posting the information on the ride bmx website. I actually already have a frame sponsor (Quamen Bikes) and they have let me design my own frame. I have the prototype built up and I am currently riding it. I want to clarify with everyone that I am NOT riding on the Hitman bike team. I am riding on the Quamen Bike Team.

There is going to be a KHE price giveaway! Though this one is not an ordinary price giveaway. KHE teamrider Bram Verhallen is going to use his technical knowledge to build waterpumps in Africa during his 3 and a half months stay. To build as many pumps as possible money is needed. Everyone who is willing to support this project will automatically participate in the price giveaway. The waterpumps (ropepumps ) cost around 50$. A single pump could provide water for a pretty big area since they have to walk for hours sometimes. We spend a lot of money on bikeparts while just a few bucks of each one of us could be used to build a certain amount of pumps. Help these people and make chance to win cool prices.

If you saw the “Rob & Big” show on MTV last night, then you were sure to see the huge PK Ripper Looptails that we made for Rob & Big & their crew. Were you wondering just how BIG those bikes were?

These were gigantic PK Rippers built up with 29” wheels. That’s right; we made some custom 29” wheeled PK Ripper Looptails! These are the first 29” BMX bikes to have ever been made. And the guys rode the heck out of them! 

After a year being out of stock Felt is happy to announce the availability of the Sheriff frame. It's Scotty Cranmer's signature frame that weighs only 4lbs.11oz.  (20.5" version). The frame comes in Galaxy or Ocean in 2 sizes (20.5" Top Tube and 21 Inch toptube).
It has removable chain tensioners and gyro tabs, a Campagnolo style Integrated head tube, Mid bb Integrated seat clamp and is made from Japanese “Sanko” tubing.

The Sheriff further has an externally machined seat tube, internally machined heat tube and bb shell and laser cut chromo dropouts with inside machines out.

In the USA the frame retails for $279. Add $80 for a kit that includes headset, 19mm + 22mm bb’s and London Mod.

If you’ve ever seen the “Rob & Big” TV show on MTV, then you know that Big Black is a very, very big guy. He told us a while ago that he’s really into the whole old-school BMX scene. But his problem was that he couldn’t find a BMX bike that came anywhere close to fitting him. So being the cool guys that we are at SE Bikes, we built him a custom sized PK Ripper Looptail that would fit him like a glove. I went up to Rob’s house & gave it to him a little while ago & they filmed the whole deal for an episode of the “Rob & Big” TV show. I even went to a BMX track & rode with Rob & Big & their whole crew.
