BMX is the core pillar upon which the iconic GT brand’s 50-year legacy was built, and it has been exciting to watch this important part of our business evolve over the years. Since joining GT in 2014, Ben Ward, GT BMX Product Manager, has created an impressive range of race, freestyle, heritage and crossover bikes as well as complimentary parts and accessories assortment that have been very well received by riders and in all retail channels. The brand is committed to supporting our growing collective of shops and riders and in doing so, the GT Global Marketing team is growing as well. Today, we are proud to share that Jeff Zielinski, BMX industry legend, and all around great human, will be officially joining the GT family as BMX Team Manager and Content Producer.
For those of you whom have not yet had the privilege to meet Jeff, we thought it would make sense to hear from Jeff himself:

2022 marks GT’s 50th Anniversary and we figured we’d throw it back at this years Swampfest by firing up the GT Air Show. Leandro Moreira, Gustavo Balaloka, Parker Heath and plenty more put on one hell of a show. In typical Swampfest fashion, things got pretty loose and mother nature opened the floodgates, but that didn't put a damper on the fun.
Spoiled with skateparks... Gustavo Balaloka, Leandro Moreira, and Mason Ritter make like transition tourists, hitting up as many SoCal parks as they can in four days. Dropping into Dennis Enarson's ramp, The Clairemont skatepark, Vans Of The Wall, and more. With cameos from GT riders Parker Heath, Chelsea Wolfe, Omar Rios, and Brendan Wirkus.
The GT crew snuck into the Wheel Mill's Winter Welcome Jam to surprise and announce Mason Ritter with a bump to the GT Pro Team! The sneak attack surrounded by Mason’s family and close friends made for an incredible moment and the perfect way for us to kick off the GT High Air event. Dan Conway, Nick Fix, and Gustavo Balaloka and Duda Penso from Brazil, all joined in on the fun—making a memorable day for everyone. Mason’s Pro!
Go behind the scenes at the Source BMX Distillery with the GT BMX team featuring Brian Kachinsky, Dan Conway, The Leeper Bro's and Ratty Maty!
With 1 hour on the clock, GT BMX's Dillon Leeper comes through with a solid HAPPY HOUR at the Source BMX Distillery.
Setting new goals for the new year is something most of us do. How can you better yourself? Is my training on point or is there someone out there who can teach me more? Is my equipment on point? Should I try a longer frame? Should I switch to carbon? Today we're checking in with GT's Camille Maire from France.
Name: Camille Maire
Age: 27
Hometown: Saint Etienne, France
Sponsors: DN sarrians, GT BMX Factory
Did 2021 turn out the way you wanted?
Camille Maire: Not really. My main goal was to get the ticket to the Olympics. I ended with the alternate place! Then, the world championship didn’t go as planned with a crash in the semi final. I also got disqualified for no reason after the semi at the European Championship. Tough season!
With the start of the new year, are you always looking to become a faster racer?
It’s all about having good times on your bike.
Brian Kachinsky, Julian Molina, Parker Heath, Sullyvan Guaincetre, and Michael Dickson spent five days post Simple Session exploring the streets of Tallinn, Estonia. Ready for some new spots in the old world? Hit play to see some BMX in the Baltics.
