Marian University won the division 1 team omnium for the fourth consecutive year and Mars Hill University won the division 2 award for the second year at the 2016 USA Cycling Collegiate BMX Nationals which were held in conjunction with the USA BMX Bluegrass Nationals in Louisville on Saturday and Sunday. The individual titles went to Tyler Whitfield (Marian University) and Sabrina Bice (Lindsey Wilson College) when they posted the best overall performances after two days of racing.

London Olympian Lauren Reynolds and determined Victorian local Max Cairns have come away the winners in the elite classes at round five of the BMX Australia National Series in Shepparton. In hot temperatures at the Shepparton BMX Club, a string of fast heats led to fiercely contested finals, Reynolds making the most of her first race on Australian soil this season to win, while Cairns upset recently crowned Oceania champion Trent Jones of New Zealand for his first elite class victory.
