We're proud to announce that Scotty Cranmer is the 2017 Vital BMX Rider of the Year! Scotty is an amazing human being, both on and off of his bike. He's won everything there is to win and, after suffering a horrific accident in late 2016, he's recovered to a point that leaves both doctors and onlookers mind-blown.
After 18 years my skate park, The Incline Club is officially closing down. I am sad to see it go but I can't help but smile when I think about all the amazing memories this place has given me and thousands of other people around the world! In this video I decided to find some old video of the amazing moments that I have had because of this skate park and relive them again with my YouTube channel!
Today we have an awesome video that shows just how much I have truly progressed since my accident. Most of the time we show riding progression or walking progression but we never really focus on the day to day activity progression. Everyday I am starting to get more feeling back in my hands and today I am building up a custom jet fuel hyper and snafu bike to match my bike for and awesome customer we have named Mike.
Back on the bike again and this week the challenge that I made for myself it's to ride my BMX bike around the race track behind my bike shop! I have been racing there since I was eight years old and I am so excited to still be able to get on the bike and give it a try! I knew it wasn't going to be easy but nothing has been in the last year but I am ready to give it my best shot! I love BMX and I'm so excited to bring you all along on my journey getting back to my BMX life!
A once in a lifetime eclipse was her all over the news channels and social media so we decided that we needed to take advantage of the opportunity and film a once in a lifetime session at the skate park on our BMX bikes! Corey and big boy did simultaneous flairs in the pitch black with headlights on their helmets! But honestly this video was a bit of a spoof. There was a lot of talk about what would happen during the eclipse and I had a feeling it was going to be hard to even notice it happening so we decided to some fun with the opportunity to make the best of it!
PARALYZED TO BMX BIKE RIDING IN 10 MONTHS! We made it to 1 million subscribers! In honor of this milestone I said that I would get back on my BMX bike and ride at my skate park for the first time since my accident 10 months ago when I broke my neck, smashed my skull, had three brain bleeds, and was expected to be paralyzed from the neck down! I have been so lucky throughout my recovery but this video proves that there is light at the end of every dark tunnel you just need the will and determination to find it. I miss being a professional BMX rider but this video means that I will always be one I am so excited to see how much progress I can make in the future and I am so excited to keep filming YouTube videos for you all!
Today was the last day of practice and it was a good one. Then we went on a food adventure and BIG BOY went in to NATURE BOY mode and it was pretty funny. Then we had a full new season of driving with SCOTTY CRANMER where big boy and them chased me down to meet at the new vans HQ! The new vans HQ is the craziest thing I have ever seen it is so big And I gave you guys never before seen footage so keep it on the DL!
People are amazing, so many people came out to support me at the Scotty Cranmer bmx jam. BMX is everything to me and to see a bunch of people in one place all having fun in BMX is the coolest thing I could ask for. So thank you to everyone involved in the fun! THANK YOU AT GROMDAD2000 for such an awesome event!
Day 2 here at the XGAMES, riders are getting ready for there contests, I am practicing for the live announcing making sure everything goes all smooth. The riding here at the XGAMES is at another level, the dirt jumps are bigger than ever, the vert riders are going as high as they possibly can. I have no idea how they are able to go as high as they do. And the park riders are getting used to the course. Tomorrow the vert finals go down and are the first event of the XGAMES so get ready for that video!
I have been competing professionally on my BMX since I was 16 years old and that year I made it to the X Games for the first time! Since then I have had some amazing memories and I have learned so many valuable life lessons also. I was able to fulfill my dream of getting an X Games Medal 9 different times and I have a story for each one. So in honor of the summer X Games in Minneapolis being right around the corner I figured I would show each medal and tell their stories. I am so excited to return to X Games this year as a TV commentator and watch the best in the world compete for medals and stories of their own!
