Once again a sunny day in Amsterdam. Gotta love it. With a massive crowd and riders ready to ride a final, we got to see Yana Muradova win the Women class and Jack Clark stepping on the highest part of the Park Men podium. As usual the riders made the show, even a little head wind didn't hold them back to get wild on the jump box and step-up. Reed Stark (USA) rode the entire park in his own original way using the rails and the side of the box jump for feeble and smith grinds. Sam Jones (UK) frontflipped the box and transfered from the box jump to the step-up landing while doing a forwards summersault. Niels van Maren rode well bringing the big tricks for 7th place just behind Arjan Ellens who started off his run with a bomb drop from the biggest part on the course. Jari Roggeveen rode powerful from start to finish to get 5th place and pro cheque. Victor Munoz brought the tricks and performed them on all the ramps all over the place. Levi Weidmann's 720 barspin and 540 variations got him a podium spot in Amsterdam. English BMX brothers Jack Clark and Cam Peake battled it out for first place. With mid-run 900's the victory went to Jack Clark with 94,6 points over Cam Peake's 91,3 score for second.
Soulcycle BMX Championships Round III. Pro Park final results:
1) Jack Clark 94,6
2) Cam Peake 91,3
3) Levi Weidmann 87,6
The Urban Sports Week Amsterdam is taking place this week at the Museumplein in downtown Amsterdam. BMX activities are happening all week on flatland, park and street. Unfortunately the flatland contest earlier this week got rained out after it started to rain when 2 of the 20 riders had done their run. The split in prize money was good for some but how much better would it have been to have an actual contest. Am Park contests have taken place and the Soulcycle BMX Championships Round 3 qualification took place yesterday. 12 riders will enter the finals this afternoon and with riders like a.o. Jack Clark, Victor Munoz, Levi Weidmann, Sem Kok, Thomas Fuentes, Sam Jones and Cam Peake making finals we're about to witness some madness on the Park course. With Catfish and Sinki on the mic on a sunny day this can't go wrong. Check qualification results inside.
The Urban Sports Week Amsterdam (USWA) has plenty of BMX on the program. Next to early morning BMX clinics, contests are scheduled from Thursday 6 - 9 June. Something for everyone with Dirt, Miniramp, Flatland, Street and BMX Park diciplines happening at the Museumplein in the middle of Amsterdam. Registration is still open so if you're looking for something to do for the next days, let's meet up in the capitol of The Netherlands.
More info: The organisation expects thousands of participants, as in 2016. In this year’s edition the iconic Museum Square will be the main location for the event. The USWA hosts several National and
