Inspired by Krink’s founder, Craig Costello, who grew up writing graffiti, skateboarding, and listening to punk and hip-hop, DIY sensibility informed much of what he and his community did in their youth. These core tenants influenced the early beginning of Krink and have remained an important part of the brand's ethos. This collaboration with Vault by Vans celebrates these creative communities through functional design.

Residing in Hastings, UK, Dan has a distinguished and refined style that is both heavy and progressive, honed from growing up immersed in a strong BMX scene and a commitment to perfection—all of which makes his execution of the biggest tricks look effortless. For Dan’s take on the Slip-On BMX, Vans designed a shoe that matches his riding, with next level pedalfeel, support and durability. Style is everything when it comes to Dan’s approach, which is reflected in a muted color palette and an elevated two-tone suede upper with meaningful detailing.

It’s been a decade since Vans and CULT linked up for the first time, and in celebration of all the clips, collaborations, road trips, riding, sneakers and shirts since then, the two have come together for a sixth collection that’s dubbed “Never Fade” and centered around new takes on the Old Skool BMX and Slip-On BMX, both equipped with Vans’ Wafflecup BMX construction. The Old Skool BMX supplies a monochromatic upper constructed of sturdy black suede and embellished with a special branded tongue tag. The Slip-On BMX features tonal, patterned CULT iconography and a two-tone build that uses both black suede and light canvas. Text graphics appear on the midsole of the Old Skool BMX and the insoles of the Slip-On BMX, the latter of which also repurposes the aforementioned CULT pattern for even more detail. Both round their look off with debossed CULT branding on the heel.
