Returning to Rhodes Skate Park in Boise, Idaho for the third consecutive year, the Road to X Games Boise Qualifier will bring the world’s best Skateboard and BMX Park competition June 28 and 29. Last year, more than 12,000 fans attended the two-day event. In addition to Park competitions, the event will again feature an interactive fan village with food, sponsor booths and music. Streamed live from Rhodes Skate Park in Boise, Idaho, the Park Qualifier will feature three disciplines – Men’s Skateboard Park, Women’s Skateboard Park and BMX Park. The top athletes in each discipline at the Boise Park Qualifier will also receive their invites to Minneapolis. In addition to the live stream, fans can catch the Boise Park Qualifier coverage on ABC as part of the World of X Games content on July 6 as well as coverage across X Games digital and social platforms.

In addition to the three events at Rhodes Skate Park, the qualifier expanded this year’s event to include Harley-Davidson Hooligan Racing at CenturyLink Arena. Over 12,000 fans witnessed six Men’s Skateboard and BMX athletes, four Women’s Skateboarders and 48 Harley-Davidson Hooligan racers punch their tickets to Minneapolis.

The Park events serve as an official qualifying event for the X Games Minneapolis Park competitions. Twenty athletes will compete in each of the three Park disciplines. On June 9-10, the world’s top athletes took over Rhodes Skate Park in Boise, Idaho to secure their invitations to X Games Minneapolis. Over 7,000 fans witnessed six Men’s Skateboard and BMX athletes and four Women’s skateboarders punch their tickets to Minneapolis. In the final competition of the day, the BMX athletes upped the amplitude in the park with a mix of flips and whips. X Games rookie Nick Bruce surprised the crowd by taking the top spot in front of perennial X Games BMX Park medalists Daniel Sandoval and Kevin Peraza. Bruce qualified first in the elimination and rode that momentum all the way through the final. Sitting in second place behind Sandoval, Bruce threw a run highlighted by a huge downside flairwhip in the final run of the competition to seal his spot

Ryan Nyquist (Santa Cruz, California) – A 16-time X Games medalist, Nyquist is the second most-decorated BMX athlete in X Games history. Nyquist has two Park gold medals and two Dirt gold medals, with his most recent podium being silver medal at X Games Barcelona 2013.
