Summer X Games is off to an amazing start! Monster Energy congratulates its BMX, Moto X, and skateboard athletes on a strong performance at X Games Ventura 2024. On the first day of competitions inside Ventura County Fairgrounds & Events Center, Monster Energy riders claimed a total of seven medals (2 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze) across four contest events in the 70th edition of X Games. Monster Energy’s riders swept the full podium in BMX Street with 29-year-old Kevin Peraza from Tucson, Arizona, taking gold, 28-year-old Jordan Godwin from Wales claiming silver, and 26-year-old Lewis Mills from Terrey Hills, Australia, taking bronze.
Here’s how Friday at X Games Ventura 2024 unfolded for Team Monster Energy BMX:
De niño soñaba en ser parte de los xgames. Hoy en día he podido ser uno de pocos multi medallistas en todas las disciplinas en mi deporte.
"It was 2017, a time in between contests. It was Pat and Kevin’s first time in Toronto, Canada where I filmed them in Varga's backyard in Whitby, Ontario. I think Varga had just gotten some additions to his ramp and same with Pat. So the idea was to film mainly Pat at Varga's house with some trio clips of them all, and then film the other half of the video at Pat's house."
Nothing like a Cape Escape to beat the harsh winter in the northern hemisphere. The Monster BMX team head out to Cape Town, South Africa to kick off the 2023 contest season at Ultimate X.
- KP.
Some of my most memorable and most exciting BMX moments this 2022!!! I hope you guys enjoy it. -KP.
The 2022 NORA Cup for Transition Rider of the Year goes to Kevin Peraza! Kevin absolutely destroyed every ramp in his path this year. He has a knack for finding lines at skateparks that people normally don't see and transitions that skill to unique street transition setups. He is an all-around force in the category.
Kevin doesn't waste a day when he's traveling, even after a big competition. He went right into filming this almost 3 minute long video after competing at Urban Sessions in Brussels. So enjoy a mix of technical and heavy hitting style from the man; Kevin Peraza.

Meaning “giving it all” or “with everything,” the film explores Kevin’s roots, highlighting his high-energy riding at spots throughout Hermosilo, Sonora Mexico, as well as Arizona and California. Leading with a fresh vision for BMX, Kevin and Juani worked together to bring together all of Kevin’s strengths – dirt, park, and street—into one cohesive film, capped with a trick that had been on their radar since riding the San Diego, California spot nearly a year previously.
“I can't thank my friend and BMX brother Juani enough for not only being super motivating throughout
