An interview with Robert Cardoza, who worked on the film, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Robert customized all of the bikes used in the film and also rode this exact bike during filming.
Rooftop sprung into the BMX spot light in 1993 and scored the last part on the game changing VHS dirty deeds, which was the ground breaking video in 94.
From there he established himself as a solid fixture in any BMX media or event.

These are 8mm movies shot by my uncle Jon Cobin of me (Matt Macarewich) and my little brother Trevor along with my racing friends from Capistrano Beach, Ca. racing BMX at Escape Country (aka Robinson Ranch) in 1974 and 75. Robinson Ranch is now part of Rancho Santa Margarita. We are wearing red with white sleeve jerseys as part of Paul's Schwinn BMX race team which was based in San Clemente, Ca.
