“In mid September I flew up to Seoul, South Korea, to visit Lee and the Serotonin boys for a five day marathon of good sessions, eats, beverages, and yapping. After they had visited Taiwan, a visit to Seoul was due."

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that the composition of its Athletes' Commission will be renewed in 2025. The new members will be elected by their peers at the 2025 UCI World Championships for the different cycling disciplines represented on the commission. Since 2017, the commission has been made up of 20 members, with each of the included disciplines BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle, road, track, mountain bike cross-country, mountain bike downhill, para-cycling, cyclo-cross, trials and indoor cycling – represented by two riders (one man and one woman).
The members will be elected for a term of four years, which will take effect at the 2025 UCI Elective Congress, to be held in conjunction with the 2025 UCI Road World Championships in Kigali (Rwanda), or at the time of their election for those who are elected after the event in Kigali. The term for all members will end at the following Elective Congress, on the occasion of the 2029 UCI Road World Championships in Denmark.
The President of the UCI Athletes' Commission, a position currently held by Katerina Nash (Czechia), the female representative for cyclo-cross, is elected by the members of the commission and sits on the UCI Management Committee, the executive body of our International Federation, which operates under the authority of the Congress.
The commission has an advisory role which enables it to submit proposals to the UCI Management

Participating in her 27th USA BMX Grand Nationals held every year over Thanksgiving, Willoughby won her 12th National Pro Title on Friday evening with her husband and coach, Sam Willoughby, beside her. Winning her first Pro Title in 2006 when she was 15, and now at 33 years old, Willoughby is the winningest BMX Racer in USA BMX history and the youngest and oldest win pro titles.
"Every year presents its opportunities and challenges, so each title and season has its chapter in my mind," Willoughby said about this year's title. "The 2024 USA BMX series title means a lot to me to achieve while wearing the world champion's jersey again; it's just the perfect way to cap off what's been a pretty successful season overall and end it on a high note. I've worked hard over the years to continuously elevate my racing to stay consistent in our 'young person's game,' so it's gratifying to use all those tools and experiences to meet the occasion and stay consistent over the course of my career. From being the youngest to now being the oldest professional woman to win the USA BMX Series Championship, I love challenging the status quo. I am thankful for all 12 of my USA BMX women's pro championship titles and the lessons each season has taught me along the way. Excited to see what we can do next year!"
