Last week we posted a little scene report on the Anglet Trails in France. At the first session we didn't get far enough so another one was set up with a few locals. It was hot and even after one run the sweat was dripping out of that feather light TSG helmet. Doing lines for the first time is always scary so I opted to follow
John Petit to steer me in the right direction. I hit my front wheel on a step up and went OTB. Next run John lost control on a 360 and hit a tree full on and bent his prototype forks which meant the end of the session for him. One run later I got to the end of the line and was stoked. The locals didn't seem to have any problems with any of the lines (that's what you get when you're a local, right) and it was so good to watch. The place is amazing. The jumps are steep (the way
Vic Murphy likes it) and there are endless lines and various sizes of jumps. The berms are steep and there is no asphalt in sight unlike at the nearby BMX race track. Props to the people who dig at these places. The spot in Anglet is great. Not sure if the locals want every BMXer to know about it so your best bet is to go to Google Earth and look through the trees
